There is no election fraud in CA. Only sore losers and a harbinger of fuckery to come in the midterms and 2028. We’ll need to vote in unprecedented numbers so they can’t scream it’s rigged and refuse to leave. The real fraud and corruption is being perpetrated in the open by Trump & his family.

Myyah’s 16th birthday was coming up the following day. She told her mom that she wanted to spend it volunteering with us again. We were beyond impressed and invited Myyah to join the youth board. She accepted and has continued to wow us ever since 🤩.

My mom and I were never close - emotional intimacy was impossible with her - but I never imagined she’d unravel and there’d be nothing anyone could do about it. Expressing this pain, which is exacerbated on Mother’s Day, makes it a bit lighter. Thanks for indulging me if you’ve read this far.

I haven’t seen my mother in over 10 years. Not for lack of trying. She’s so far gone that we probably won’t be together again in this lifetime. Mourning the living weighs heavily on the soul. Untreated addiction and mental illness have robbed our extended family of so much.

Same as always but the holiday heightens the delicate balance of my high wire act. The sea, sun and some nice wine will be involved! This day has been hard since my mom went off the rails while I was pregnant with Eli. It wasn’t the 1st or 2nd time but it was worse and inflicted permanent damage.

This was taken on Mother’s Day in our backyard in the Palisades. My life’s greatest gift is being their mom. Nothing can ever take that away. I love you, Molly, Nate and Eli. Carrying the sorrow and longing for my girl while being present and enjoying my boys is today’s mission.
