I finally had a Red-breasted Nuthatch visit my feeders! I have been wanting to see one for forever and one finally came around 8:18 this morning. I get White-breasted Nuthatches daily but that was a first for me and I'm way too excited about it!

My daughter attended homecoming. She had her hair professionally done in a vampy, curly half-updo and I did a romantic goth makeup look that she chose. Her nails were done in a velvety, magnetic medium almond red called Apple Blossom and they matched her lipstick so well. She looked stunning! 🍎🌸

My son looked so much like his dad all dressed up and matching for the wedding and he's dxmn near just as tall. Ryan was the best man for his father and our son was a groomsman. They looked adorable and I wish I could've attended but I had to handle homecoming.

We had a busy weekend but it was definitely worth it. On Saturday, we had to divide and conquer. Ryan had to attend a wedding with our son and I had to help our daughter get ready for homecoming. Luckily, I was able to get the makeup products I needed in time and we got her hair and nails done. 💅🏼💆🏽‍♀️💋

Apparently, the murderer was obsessed with their daughter and was shot and killed by police when they arrived on scene and were shot at. I didn't expect the day to start like this at all. People can be so broken and horribly ill. I'll never understand.

They canceled school today bc one of the teachers at our school was murdered in the early am hours. She was my daughter's mythology teacher. Someone broke into their home and killed both the teacher and her husband. They have two surviving children and I'm absolutely devastated for them. 💔

Clementine is coming off of her nausea and diarrhea meds and my nervous system feels a bit like it's on fire. It's been kind of a rough week with everything going on at once but we're making it work. She seems to be doing better but I'm nervous now that she's coming off some of the meds. 🤞🏼

My daughter got her final birthday gift from my mom today. It was an adorable puffin blanket and she loves it. 🩵💙

One of the most difficult times as a parent is when you have to smile and/or celebrate while you're stressed and your nervous system is totally in overload. It's a delicate balance that you somehow manage to pull through bc you love your kids and family more than anything in this world. 💞🌎

Our daughter opened her gifts and she is very happy with them. She'll get the gifts from my sister on a later date when she comes to visit. She tried on both of her homecoming dress options again but with the new corset and petticoat this time, and omg is she gorgeous! 🎁👗

Ryan had to go pick up a scoop of mulch so my mom and sister can finish landscaping. He's also grabbing our daughter's birthday gifts from her grandma. I'm going to wrap them for her and that way she can get most of her gifts at once. She'll still have to get gifts from my sister / other fam tho.

Clem is currently on so many different medications I had to make a chart just to keep it all straight.

Our daughter had some friends come over to watch a movie for her birthday. We got them pizza and snacks and everyone seemed to have a good time. Our daughter passed out almost immediately after they got dropped off at home. It was almost impressive.

They ran bloodwork twice, did a fecal test, an x-ray, an ultrasound, and still didn't fully come to a conclusion/cause. Her bloodwork was totally normal but we're still waiting on the fecal test results to come back. I feel so bad for my baby. 💔

Clementine finally got to come home today but she still isn't 100%. I feel so awful for her. 💔

We have had such a crazy, chaotic week. I'm finally wrapping my daughter's birthday gifts but man I feel like we've all been through the ringer. Our dog ended up hospitalized again. GI related again. They can't really get to the bottom of it so we may need to go see a specialist.

My daughter's dresses and a couple accessories arrived the other day. Today, she tried them on and she looked absolutely beautiful! We're still waiting on her shoes and some more accessories but we also need to order her corsets and petticoat. She is going to look like a little moon goddess! 👑🌙

I tried to make an SSA appointment for my kids but they're booked until November. I took the one slot they offered, went to book for my 2nd child and now they're saying they have zero availability. Why do they make it so complicated? Their hours are bad enough but now we have to miss even more work.

We went to amish country on Saturday with my mom and sister. My mom works 7 days a week therefore it's rare to be able to take a trip with her so it was nice getting everyone together. Our son opted to attend the annual skeet shoot at the kids' aunt and uncle's house but everyone still had fun.

So, we got a little start on our daughter's birthday presents but we also picked out her homecoming dress, shoes, and some accessories. We still need to get our son's entire homecoming outfit and finish birthday shopping for our daughter but at least we're making progress.
