I gotta say, the new mood stabilizer + EMDR therapy wombo combo is doing wonders for my work confidence! The irritation is still there but at least I'm not freaking out over every mistake anymore.

If you have unresolved trauma and the means, I highly recommend finding a therapist who does EMDR. Its difficult to face traumas but this treatment really worked for me.

I finished it and have THOUGHTS.

This book made me angry for 3/4 of it. It tried to redeem itself (and the MC) at the end, but really fell flat.

Simon is the most aggravating MC I've read in awhile. Selfish and blind to his own privilege, he barrels through this book making an ass of himself every few pages.

The pacing was inconsistent and we don't get an actual climax. The "climax" is told to us through the dialogue of another character after Simon is drugged for it. And what happened to the plotline of Mueller being a child predator? We hear about it, Simon gets angry, and then as soon as he finds out what actually happens to Morgan, it's never mentioned again.

The "twist" was very obvious throughout the entire book. The dinosaur facts were cool, but ghost dinosaurs was not at all scary and instead read as corny.

I really wanted to like this book, but almost DNF'd several times. Dumas has a good writing style but this book made me not even want to think about any of his other works, some of which are on my TBR.

I was big time grumpy that one of my plants died, so I haven't watered it in weeks. Turns out it has a little baby sprout that has resiliently stayed alive during the drought and is now sprouting!! Here's the baby next to the parent's carcass I've yet to throw out lol
