Book 38 of #The52BookClub #The52BookClub2026 "The Ghost Theatre" Such a surprising book, I’m desperate to know how the author came up with such a unique premise and characters! Beautifully written historical fiction. Recommend particularly to those who were theatre kids. #Booksky 📚💙

Book 37 of #The52BookClub #The52BookClub2026 "The Space Between Worlds" One of the best books that I have ever read! The world building is intriguing, the characters are complex… but the writing is the real star. It is a story DEFTLY told that is both immersive and engaging. #Booksky 📚💙

Book 36 of #The52BookClub #The52BookClub2026 "The Tapestry of Fate" An excellent sequel! It had everything that I loved about the first book, in an entirely new adventure. If you’ve not read the Amina al Sirafi books, take this as your cue to add them to your TBR pile! #Booksky 📚💙

When Old Man's War came out and this was the picture in the book, people genuinely thought I was, like, a 6'4" ex-Marine badass. When they actually met me and saw I was a 5'7" goofball, they were often very confused.

Mid 30s me, with a buzzed head and a semblance of a jawline, unsmiling, photographed from a low angle that makes me look taller.

The thing about FIFA, y’all have cried wolf so often that unless your leg disconnects at the knee and goes flying across the field…we’re all absolutely positive you’re faking that injury. 🤣😂🤣 #worldcup

Book 35 of #The52BookClub #The52BookClub2026 “Helen of Troy: Goddess, Princess, Whore” A REALLY interesting look at who Helen probably was and wasn’t by looking at the background and biases of the men who have tried to define her. I was fascinated! #Booksky 📚💙

Book 34 of #The52BookClub #The52BookClub2026 "Platform Decay” There’s something about Murderbot that jut makes me smile and my heart go squeeeee. The new “emotion checks” are a thing of genius and made his little novella adventure even more entertaining. I can not wait for more! #Booksky 💙📚

Book 33 of #The52BookClub #The52BookClub2026 “False Value” It's fine, even really fun! An interesting spin on AI that was particularly relevant today. I also loved the new characters. But it just felt shallow. Would make a good vacation read though! #Booksky 📚💙

Book 32 of #The52BookClub #The52BookClub2026 “A Parade of Horribles” It feels a lot like the dungeon’s version of a Mario Cart tournament and OMG it had me crying laughing at times. #BookSky 📚💙

Book 30 of #The52BookClub #The52BookClub2026 “Cursed Daughters” Does tragedy in love happen because of a curse or does believing in a curse so profoundly change your behavior so much that it becomes a self fulfilling prophesy? And how do you break the cycle? I loved it! #Booksky 📚💙

I had a crummy day at work, but then I got to listen to Dungeon Crawler Carl (I’m on book 7 so NO SPOILERS), plan a trip with my mom, drink some beautiful red wine, and order a pizza…and it turns out my Friday has been salvaged 😂

Book 27 of #The52BookClub #The52BookClub2026 “The Fraud” A tale about big ideas told through the lives of vibrant and often, ridiculous, characters. Unfortunately, I found the time jumps confusing and I’m not sure why several of the storylines were included then not finished. #Booksky 💙📚

Book 26 of #The52BookClub #The52BookClub2026 “The Magician of Tiger Castle” A fun, YA fairy tale somewhere in between “The Princess Bride” and “The Unhappy Medium”. It wraps up quickly and without enough satisfaction. But the chapters are short and it might make a fun travel book. #Booksky 💙📚

Book 25 of #The52BookClub #The52BookClub2026 “The Way of Kings” I love Brandon Sanderson so don’t come for me, because this is EARLY Sanderson and it’s over 1000 pages! It’s just TOO LONG. You could EASILY lose 1/3 of the book and miss nothing. That said…still gonna read more. Duh. #Booksky 📚💙

Book 22 of #The52BookClub #The52BookClub2026 “We Solve Murders” It’s twisty and turny, laugh out loud funny, but it’s the heart that makes this one soar. In between all of the silly antics are true moments of vulnerability by characters just trying to do their best. I loved it! #Booksky 📚💙

Book 20 of #The52BookClub #The52BookClub2026 “Howl’s Moving Castle" The movie adaptation takes almost every one of the book’s flaws and solves them. So what’s left in the original book is almost a different story, and a far inferior one. I wanted to love it but didn’t. #Booksky 📚💙
