Even today, it feels like this affectionate comedy revival about sectarianism makes the Belfast audience nervous
This spiffy revival of Christina Reid’s 1983 play is well overdue. A working-class Belfast Protestant, Reid was a late developer as a writer but her debut has the sophistication of an old hand.

Modern makeover of psycho-thriller ‘Single White Female’ is strong on ideas, but light on detail
A cheaply built high-rise apartment with a broken window, flickering electrics and a loudly clanking lift points to one of the update themes: we live in an age of property problems. Writer Rebecca Reid has brought the 1990s hit movie from Colombia Pictures, based on the John Lutz novel, right up to the contemporary moment.
