I love #caturday ! About 15 years ago during a medical mystery, I found out I was severely allergic to cats. I had 3. So I started with medication and carried on. They were family. 5 years ago the last of the 3 passed. He was 19. I miss cats & look forward to your pics each week. Pickles 2011

Eight months later the Voting Rights Act became law. My mom cried. I remember that. She was designing the art for his headstone. Tears streaming. In 2 days, I’ll be 68 years old. I’ve carried his legacy my whole life. Fuck the Supreme Court and their bigotry. #VotingRightAct #SupremeCourt

A picture of my grandfather, Herbert Hoover Robbins and myself in 1960. He was a florist and estate caretaker during the depression. Late 1930’s he contracted tuberculosis and was confined to a sanitorium. He survived but the State of Connecticut had intervened and sent his 6 children to live with

When I was teaching 35 years ago, my school district taught D’Nealian font for printing as it helps when the kids were taught cursive in 3rd grade. Most kids arrived in kindergarten knowing Zaner-Bloser because that’s what their parents knew. They had to relearn how to print their name in D’Nealian

On this day 75 years ago, my parents got married. Dad was on leave for 5 days after basic training. He then shipped out to Korea. Both in heaven now. Dad gone 47 years. Mom 22. Happy Anniversary, Mom and Dad! 🥂 💒💍

Lunar New Year begins on February 17th this year. The year of the Fire Horse only comes once every 60 years and is known for dynamic, fast-paced energy and opportunities for great change.
