Blue Rodeo never, ever disappoints! Awed by the talent that took the stage in Owen Sound last night. Huge fan for 40+ years. The next time I see them will be on a river cruise in Amsterdam. Planning for a bucket list adventure is well underway! #superfan #BucketList @bluerodeo.bsky.social

Cat did me a solid this morning. She wolfed down her breakfast then promptly threw it all back up. Then decided it was so tasty it was worth eating again! No gag-inducing clean up needed by me! #cattales #grateful #catsofbluesky

Aren't these #cookies adorable? Party favours with special meaning: 🇨🇦 flag = proud to be Canadian I love penguins and recently turned 60 🇱🇹 coat of arms = proud of my Lithuanian heritage I love elephants, tulips and red is my favourite colour Thanks Purple Lips Bakery in #ldnont for great work!

Four sugar cookies lined up horizontally on a wooden table. From left to right, the first cookie is of the Canadian flag, the second is a penguin holding a red balloon with the number 60 in it, the third is a modern version of Lithuania's coat of arms, and the fourth is an elephant holding a red tulip

Well ain't this something?! For about 48 hours, I am the proud owner of not 1, not 2, but 3 lovely abodes! Not bad for a gal who grew up in Ontario Housing! #gratitude #hardworkpaysoff

A brown stucco house with a white front screen door and white trimmed windows. There is a driveway with retaining walls. It is springtime and the grass and bushes are very green. There is a white wreath on the red front door.

A white bungalow with a blue front door and blue trimmed windows. There are three large bushes in front.

A white cottage with a green roof. There are two red Adirondack chairs on the front wooden porch and a red "welcome" sign by the front door. The cottage is surrounded by tall pine trees.

So, this is really happening! Next week after almost 26 years I'll bid adieu to my 1st home. A bit bittersweet but excited to downsize and begin creating new memories in a bungalow that will house me until I'm ready to be carted off to a senior's home! #newhome #wednesdaywords

I bundled up and 50 minutes later returned, a little wet but feeling energized. And proud of myself for getting out the door at a time when getting out the door has been a bit of a challenge. I’ll take that win. What’s your win today? #sundaywalk #cottagelife

🧵 Today’s win: going for a walk. In the rain. I almost talked myself out of it but saw a family by the shoreline enjoying the elements all covered up in rain ponchos. I can do that, I told myself. Instead I had a nap. Later, it was still raining & again I thought, I can do that walk. #DailyWins

Another one from the media junket to #Bosnia with the Canadian military in 1998. I got to drive this thing! The soldier told me to bounce a little to get the seat to lower. Seems I bounced too much cause I disappeared out of sight in one fell swoop! #coolcareers #tbt

A soldier stands on top of a military vehicle, talking to a woman who is standing in the turret. In the background is a rocky incline with no trees. It had been raining as there are puddles on the ground.

What a #coolcareer! Years ago as a tv reporter I covered emergency services. Lots of heavy stories but also fun ones like dressing in a haz-mat suit to help contain a mock hazardous waste spill. One of the main reasons I loved working in media. No 2 days were the same. #mondaymemories

A man and woman are walking towards the camera. The man on the left is wearing a firefighter uniform. He has dark hair and a moustache. The woman on the right is wearing a big blue hazardous materials protective suit, complete with helmet and breathing apparatus.

What a career! In 1998 I was on a media junket in #Bosnia, telling the stories of 🇨🇦 soldiers based there. We couldn't walk on the grass due to unexploded ordnance so I sat on the safer concrete to write my script. In the background, a half bombed apartment building. #journalism #ThursdayThoughts

A woman sits on the ground writing in a notepad. Behind her is a half bombed out apartment building and a tanker truck. In the far distance there are mountains.

On a sweltering summer night, nothing beats cold beet soup and corn on the cob. This takes me back to my childhood, days spent visiting my #Lithuanian family at their cottage in Wasaga Beach. And on hot summer afternoons, this would be served. What’s your go-to meal when the mercury is rising?

Like many parents my mom's age, she's decluttering and passing on old family photos. I love this one of her and her mom, the lens capturing a moment in time between mother and daughter. It was taken in 1966 at Wasaga Beach, mom was pregnant with me. #familymatters #MondayMusings #motherdaughtertime
