Oooh, that makes sense... I've been doing the other way round, as there was less artifacting. 🫣 Using a very strong Glaze & then medium nightshade... Oh Poop! :( I've had my PC running glaze & nightshade on my gallery of work all-day-every-day for about 4 months. 😓

I'd never thought about the lighting element of his paintings before. Now you've highlighted this particular aspect of how he painted these landscapes, I cannot unsee it. I can't help but think, how much more dramatic & beautiful his landscapes could have been with more dynamic lighting & shadow.🖌️
