It's so discouraging to post art when you see how fucked up the ratio of like to repost is. Just please, do the second click, it's literally few seconds and does so much more for struggling artists.

Doodle of my sona Meh pointing at repost/reblog button with their finger. There is "this one is important" written near them.

They say the first page -- first panel, if possible -- of a one-shot should establish the main character, the setting, and the conflict/problem they find themselves in. I'm still practicing, but I think I'm on the right track. What do you think from a very rough sketch? #OCsky #webcomic #rkgk

Still need a lot of practice drawing boys, particularly boys in bulky-ass jackets. I just now caught that for some reason, I went with a pointy chin instead of his usual blunted one, but for a relatively-quick one-off, it'll do. #OCsky #webcomic

And we're done! Doing something more in depth after an overall simpler piece was a big learning opportunity. I'm really happy with how this one turned out. #OCsky #webcomic

WIP: Inked (mostly) and flatted. Since I want this to be more of a promo piece, I let myself get a little wild with the dreaded Floof and I think that experience cemented my intention to keep it simple in normal panels, because oh my good lord. #OCsky #webcomic #rkgk

WIP of something new! It's been a long time since I genuinely had a blast drawing and it's something I've been rekindling over the past few months. I wanted to make a promo that shows what readers could expect from the setting and cast -- I'm pretty happy with it so far! #OCsky #webcomic #rkgk

Tada! A while back, I found @volodez_art's work on IG and have wanted to do some fanart ever since. Their OC, Chloe, is just so darn cool, and I can easily imagine the twins finding the now-iconic RV to get her insight into whatever is troubling Belle Harbor this time. #OCsky #webcomic #fanart

WIP! Doing some fanart for a creator I like -- this is only half of the final image, featuring the twins! I keep going back and forth on Nora's hairstyle -- I like keeping it simple to make things a faster, but it's fun drawing a bunch of floof, too. At least Vivi is just "mop". #OCsky #webcomic

Playing with colors! The leftmost one is the classic color palette for the twins while the top right is what I'm going with now. The third was just me goofin'. Sometimes you gotta do something the wrong way to know which one looks best.

Vivi jumpscare! I have to remind myself sometimes that she's the deuteragonist, not the *protagonist*, but I guess every creator has their favorite. It ain't much, but I've been really working on trying to get over my anxiety over drawing lately, and I like to think I'm shaking the rust off.

Took a couple of suggestions from y'all and made a few tweaks! I added some gradient to the trees back there and put just the tiniest chromatic aberration on the pop-up window. I definitely agree that it makes it overall that much more cohesive. Thank you, gang! More soon! #ocsky #webcomic

And just because I wanted to see all the goobers together, I took the full-body pics from their respective sheets and slapped 'em together. It's not perfect, but I'm awfully darn proud of how these turned out both art-wise and character design-wise.

It was way past time to update my PFP, so I finally went ahead and got it done. I'm pretty darn happy with how it turned out, even if it did end up looking a little like a Picrew. Regardless, howdy -- I'm Kato. I still draw cute girls, tough guys, and creepy mysteries. #OCsky #rkgk #PFP

A medium close-up shot of an androgynous person looking up and to the right wistfully with a small smile on their face. They have eyeliner and their left eye is pink while their right eye is brown, both with white irises. Their hair is messy (half pink and half brown with wisps streaks of white scattered all over) and tied back up into a bun. They're wearing a dark brown choker, have a star sticker on their right cheek, and two bandaids on their left arm, one pink and one brown. There is a thin white bangle on their left arm as well. Their right stretches out of the frame as though they might be taking a selfie. They're wearing a vest and t-shirt combination with the vest being a darker pink and the shirt faintly purple. They are standing against a pink backdrop with a large white circle in the middle, framing them above the shoulders. The name "Katopolitan" is situated at the 11-o'clock position outside of the circle.

Before I went any further, I slapped the two side by side to make sure they felt cohesive. I like to think they read well enough as twins and hopefully their designs are clear enough to give you a sense of who the two are without needing all the extra text in the main sheets. I'm happy with it!

051

Katopolitan @katopolitan.bsky.social · 26/10/2025

Finally finished the twins! I wanted them to have enough similarities to be obviously recognizable as siblings, but also have as many traits that are uniquely theirs. It's easy to get sloppy with your main OCs, so as silly as it felt at first, I'm glad I got around to these. #OCsky #webcomic

I just realized I forgot to flip her choker on the bottom right, but oh well. Sue me.

I've desperately needed to make proper character reference sheets for Shinobu and Cole for some time now. I still can't figure out why I get so nervous making these darn things! I'm still doing the sketchy Nora journal ones, too, but these are more for the actual comic work. (With trivia, though!)

Practicing a simpler coloring for the comic than what I'm usually comfortable with! I think it looks good enough, though, and that's good enough for me. (Also, yes, small preview!)
