That’s funny, interior designer is mine too.. though I’m not sure that’s safe from AI (it should be IMO). I think I would start a residential house cleaning business. I’d leverage all my cleaning knowledge, train a team and have a service that’s really easy to book online.

I thought I’d have better luck finding someone to give me a post production template based on my current audio setup. So not necessarily hardware based. There’s some sites out there for that. I’ve also heard you can hire people to have a video call and live tweak your setup together 🤷‍♀️

You’re right, good point. Like with anything else, if there’s an interest to learn the craft and be an active participant cross functionally then having prev experience doesn’t matter so much. Putting devs on DS work when they have no interest in learning the ropes isn’t great (IMO)

I really like your point about non DS engineers doing DS work compared to designers which are usually hired exclusively for that role. I've never understood that, I feel like it's pretty important to hire engineers with DS experience. You wind up with a bunch of tech debt without that expertise.
