If I ever fall off the "eating right for my diabetes" wagon, it will be because of pastries. Danish, strudel, baklava, coffee cake! I miss you. But I will say, a toasted cinnamon raisin English muffin with cinnamon cream cheese? Is not a bad substitute.

15 yrs ago me: Has every PCOS symptom, gets an ultrasound twice, but...no cysts. Guess it's not that. 9 yrs ago me: Diabetes at age 39. (More than half of people with PCOS develop diabetes before 40.) Me now: WELL WELL WELL. Changing the diagnostic criteria? Cysts are NOT required? Who KNEW? (Me)

Hot take: stop saying "everything at the library is free!" It's not free. It's paid for through property taxes (in most US public libs). People value things higher when they have spent their own money on it. People need to hear that they get MORE than what they pay for bc it's a shared cost.

A mild version of ehlers-danlos runs in my family. I notice it in my hips & always sit cross-legged. But now that I'm older it's not as comfortable. I got these bolster pillows and look at the difference between my natural relaxing leg posture on the right and with the bolster on the left. 😮 #EDS

Tried a new sushi place today and it was delightful. Avocado roll with pickled ginger is the perfect food, but today I had avocado mango roll for the first time and let me say wow.

It's not that "libraries are free! Use them!" It's that you have ALREADY PAID for them through property taxes (in most places in the USA). There IS a cost, but it's WORTH the cost. We are creating something amazing for our communities by investing in libraries. Go out and get your money's worth!

Today has been SO frustrating at work! No Internet til 1:30, so I'm trying to do work on my phone, and we had to turn away so many library patrons who needed to do stuff that required Internet. THEN, that gets fixed and our power flickered out and the server restarted. THREE TIMES.

Oh my gosh lentil pasta is a damn miracle for this diabetic girl. I can enjoy however much I want and it barely impacts my blood sugar at all. 😋 Would recommend for type 2 diabetics. At least give it a shot and see how it affects you.
