If I believed in hell, I would say that all of these people who are treating children as objects and destroying their lives in this cruel and evil way will surely be sent there.

She has cold, unkind eyes. No empathy or care there. What a shame. Another group banished.

I read it too. Too bad we don't have a government that is paying attention and actually moving us forward.

Pretty clear how he views everyone as objects to be used.

The message and the medium are both brilliant. I'm really looking forward to the new book.

It is worth noting that his first three children got their citizenship through the birthright rules. If he's going to throw out citizenship under this rule, gosh, maybe Don Jr., Eric, and Ivanka will have to be deported.

Is Nostos the title of your next book or something else? What does it mean?

Recently I was in Michigan with Miranda for our Nia black belt. The host of the Inn where we stayed is a big lover of Robert Frost. One morning he shared with me his favorite Frost poem, Birches. I love it too!

Yes, I meant Unflattening because we sold it out. I have a low-res print of entropy hung in my inspirational corner of the hallway. If you have a better one, please send away, Nick. I really love that and sometimes re-read the Robert Frost poem you told me about that your dad liked.

There's some very weird frame of reference they are applying to vaccines, and it's shocking that they've been given a megaphone for their extremist and dangerous ideas.

A little hypocritical, isn't it? Or does he pretend in his own mind that he is slim?

We had to replace our old reliable washer and dryer. The new ones want to do things for me that I can do myself just fine. I can decide whether it's a small, medium, or large load, and I have no desire to control it from my phone. Sigh. Too much supposed convenience?

Once upon a time I thought that he was a good person. Now, it seems as though he's not operating at good person capacity and his thinking seems unclear. Sad. I hope that he moves on from serving in Congress.

The definition of "educated" seems to have become something entirely different from my concept of it, and "success" is a vapid word.

As if the person making the prediction was completely untouched by, uncaring about the happening. It seems pretty ugly to me, but then capitalism unfettered doesn't have a heart.

I'm with you, wanting to believe that a judge can stop this. Alas, it feels as though each time a judge says "no you can't," they just do it anyway. Maybe someday (we hope) there will be a reckoning, but meanwhile, dehumanizing cruelty is the name of their game in Minnesota.

Apparently, all the good immigrants are here already, in the government, and the rest are garbage, in their twisted view. Really good point. Their anti-immigrant stance makes no sense.

Mel Robbins advises that I "let them" do whatever they are going to do, to "let me" do whatever is on my path. There is wisdom here, but also some worrying laissez-faire. Some things being done by our government are going to hurt everyone; taking a position of "let them" carries a pretty high cost.

I am starting to be suspicious of every nice story about dogs and children and happy endings on FB. Is it a good deed, a true happening, or just AI? It makes me feel sad, and it turns down the lights.

Again and again it's clear that if you dehumanize any group or person, you don't have to treat them with kindness and dignity. That's the MAGA motto. Dehumanize them all except OUR KIND.

Loving your book (I'm halfway through). Recently saw the comic that Professor Nick Sousanis did called ING and thought that it is a brilliant illustration of the message you are giving. He's on Bluesky too.

Just reading Joyce Vance's new book: Giving Up Is Unforgivable. Your recent comic ING is a brilliant illustration, expressing a very similar message. Love your comic and her book!

Chief Justice John Roberts on Tuesday temporarily kept in place the Trump administration’s decision to freeze nearly $5 billion in foreign aid. (from AP) Apparently he thinks it's fine for Trump to be king of the U.S.

For most of my life I held the members of the Supreme Court in high esteem, believing that they were faithful to our Constitution and the rule of law. I still respect the 3 minority women, but I hold the rest in contempt. I don't believe they care one snip about the Constitution and stare decisis.
