Are you aged 60+ and regularly play games? We want to understand how older players experience competence in games, and whether/how this makes gaming worthwhile. Super excited that Friedrich is returning to where I left things when wrapping up my PhD - we'd love to hear from you.

Video games are popular all over the world – but not everyone can enjoy them without restrictions. Barriers in controls, presentation or design make access difficult for many people. But there are solutions.

playABLE focuses on the topic of accessibility in and around games. The new Level 5 presents games that use innovative approaches to break down barriers. They may be very easy to control, allow to adjust the difficulty or be playable for people with visual impairments.

At the same time, the new level focuses on the importance of representation and the inclusion of people with disabilities in game development.

We too want to learn and try out with the project: how can (games) exhibitions be made more accessible?

This exhibition was made possible by funding from the “Weiterkommen!” funding program of the Center for Cultural Participation Baden-Württemberg (ZfKT).
