The last couple of weeks have been a bit too chaotic for my taste. But I'm still painstakingly drawing my comic lines every day. 33 of 88 pages are done 🐌

Yeah! I can finally show the illustration I did for a project very dear to me :) It's the cover for the F*uck Yeah! comic calendar 2027 as always organised by the amazing @schlogger.bsky.social 🎶 If you want one and see the list of all the great artists who are in it you can get it at her shop :D

<– my face right now because I have so much to do that I don’t know how to get it all done in time but I also have to go to the gym because I’m old and self care is important 😭

Sketches for a sidequest project I really don’t have the time for but couldn’t say no to because I love chickens ❤️

Oh btw the storyboard feedback is finally here. I already proposed a new deadline to the publisher (based on what we originally agreed to in the contract) and only got a: “Oh, that could be difficult. I need to talk to the printer.” 🥲 It’s really hard to stay motivated under this circumstances 🫠

Meeting an old friend for coworking today ❤️ the big perk while drawing linearts is for me is that I am mostly mobile since I do them on my iPad 🎶 I hope I can organise many more coworkings in the next couple of weeks 🥰

Work stresses me out a lot at the moment. But those two wonderful creatures really help calming me down every day 🥰 it’s such a priviyto share life with those two ❤️

Part 3 of the "Dravencos University" book series has it's book birthday today 💗 I had so much fun creating the covers.

I really needed this weekend to recharge. Last week was mentally exhausting. The big comic project went completely off the rails. No storyboard feedback in sight. I keep on working on it to somehow feel like I still have the wheel in my hands but my motivation went down the drain 😫

Katharina Netolitzky @kathineto.bsky.social · 09/09/2026

The project is not going well. I got some surprising news regarding the organizational side of things and am still waiting for feedback on the storyboard. I decided to dive into lining the first pages anyway because I can't afford to even lose one day. It's so much work and so little time 🐌

000

Katharina Netolitzky @kathineto.bsky.social · 07/09/2026

The final comic marathon just started ✨ 88 pages of lines and colors in only 9 weeks 🫠 That means during every slow weekend morning, on every train ride, in every cafe, during every boring call and in every doctor's waiting room you will see me with my iPad out drawing my lines 😂 This is the way!

Im finally going on a hike with my beloved sisters again 🥰 After all the hours I had to sit on a screen and concentrate, my eyes really need to see some green 🌳🌲🌳🌲 And my feet really need to walk for a looong time 🥾 The German word for this: ✨ Waldbaden ✨

Hehe ... I just finished my illustration for a super secret project <3 Here's a tiny fragment as a sneak peek. I'll be able to reveal the full illustration soon 🎶

010

Katharina Netolitzky @kathineto.bsky.social · 03/09/2026

Time to start cleaning the storyboard pages, finish lettering the soundwords and inking some of the more standard backgrounds 🎶 it will take a few more days until I get the feedback from the authors. But I can't afford to twiddle my thumbs and wait 😅 Only 10 weeks until the final deadline 😭

Katharina Netolitzky @kathineto.bsky.social · 01/09/2026

The last weeks felt like every last bit of creativity I have is dripping into this storyboard until nothing is left. And then I sleep one night, can finally start a new project I was looking forward to for quite a while and my creativity is overflowing like nothing happend 😂 WTF brain!

000

Katharina Netolitzky @kathineto.bsky.social · 31/08/2026

It's storyboard deadline day and I almost can't believe it: I'm done 😭 it felt like forever to get through this this time.

I can see the light on the end of the tunnel: Only 3 more pages of storyboard left ✨ But a dear friend visits me over the next two days so I will have to work on the weekend 😥 Still I'm optimistic, that I can make the deadline on monday!

Katharina Netolitzky @kathineto.bsky.social · 26/08/2026

5 more pages of storyboard to draw! So tired 😩

000

Katharina Netolitzky @kathineto.bsky.social · 24/08/2026

10 more pages of storyboard to draw and only 1 week left 💦 Usually that would be fine but this week is also filled with with a lot of other to dos, doctor appointments, a friend who moves, a friend who visits and finally a table in a beer tent I plan to dance on 😂

Katharina Netolitzky @kathineto.bsky.social · 21/08/2026

The second Rosenhof novel is finally out :D This project is at fault for a couple of smaller mental breakdowns and strains of white hair on my head. But at least it turned out beautiful in the end 😁 And the story is really fun to read.

040

Katharina Netolitzky @kathineto.bsky.social · 20/08/2026

Storyboarding went well today 😮‍💨 Another 4 pages done and only 10 more left to do. I can't wait to send this thing to the client although that just means that I have to start with the linearts of the backgrounds right the next day 😅 There's no time to dilly-dally since the deadlines are so tight.

Katharina Netolitzky @kathineto.bsky.social · 19/08/2026

For the first time in my life I had to sign a NDA 😁 It's only for a small fragment for a huge project. But I'm excited that I can be part of it ✨ Is it another sidequest I don't really have the time for righ now: Yes ... But is it also the kind of dopamin kick I need to keep on going: Also yes 🫢

020

Katharina Netolitzky @kathineto.bsky.social · 18/08/2026

Yesterday I had a doctor's appointment that finally verified a hunch I had for years. The next few months are going to be pretty exhausting but I also feel hopeful, that I can get back to my old strengh (or at least some of it) 💪 Now back to storyboarding. Only 2 more weeks for 20 pages!

030

Katharina Netolitzky @kathineto.bsky.social · 14/08/2026

Something completely different for everyone who lives around Augsburg. My best friend currently has a vintage Pop-Up store at Annastraße. And a couple of years ago, she (Furore Vintage), my boyfriend (Zammg'fasst) and I took these amazing photos where I was allowed to play model for a little bit 😁

050

Katharina Netolitzky @kathineto.bsky.social · 10/08/2026

And I'm back from my break 🫠 I'm not sure, if I feel better health-wise. But I really need to get back on track. The new deadline is approved by my editor so I now have 3 weeks für the last 30 pages of storyboard (instead of the 1 week until the original deadline 🫢). Let's do this 💦

040

Katharina Netolitzky @kathineto.bsky.social · 03/08/2026

I finally took a couple of days off to take care of my health ❤️‍🩹 I quickly realized it’s impossible for me to do nothing at all so I also take care of some things in our flat that already bothered me for weeks/months but I never had the energy to do. Currently washing the sofa covers 🫢 feels good!

030

Katharina Netolitzky @kathineto.bsky.social · 27/07/2026

Yesterday I had to accept, that I can't make my next big project deadline becaus I have to prioritize my health for a while. It took me all Sunday to write the eMail for my client because writing good eMails is hard and I didn't want to sound too whiny 🥲 Now I'm anxiously wait for their reply 🫣

030

Katharina Netolitzky @kathineto.bsky.social · 22/07/2026

Storyboard halftime 😌 It would be so neat if I was a little bit quicker. But there is no way I can go faster so my motto for the next 3,5 weeks is: ✨ Slow and steady wins the race ✨

020

Katharina Netolitzky @kathineto.bsky.social · 20/07/2026

Only 4 more weeks for 50 pages of storyboard 🥲 It is still doable but I also have a lot of personal stuff coming up so it won't be an easy ride 🎢

010

Katharina Netolitzky @kathineto.bsky.social · 17/07/2026

So I have 1.5 empty workspaces in our shared studio again. If you are from around here, please have a look. And if you know some people who live in Augsburg it would be lovely, if you can share it with them ❣️

011

Katharina Netolitzky @kathineto.bsky.social · 16/07/2026

And again I'm right in the middle of the "Swamp of Despair" 🫢 But I've been here a couple of times before so I already know my way around 🥲

050

Katharina Netolitzky @kathineto.bsky.social · 13/07/2026

Woah! Why is storyboarding sooo hard for me 😂 It's like my brain just doesn't want to do it so I always have to find ways to trick it into doing it anyway 🧠 so fascinating! But well, I just passed the 1/3 milestone which is good. But I still have 60 pages to go and only 5 weeks left 🫠

020

Katharina Netolitzky @kathineto.bsky.social · 13/07/2026

This!!! I'm already using it for years on every device I own. It took a bit of time to get used to it but I personally think it's more than worth it 🌱💗

020

Katharina Netolitzky @kathineto.bsky.social · 13/07/2026

For everyone who's on instagram and interested in watching me climb over some wodden hurdles, there's now also a video from Saturday's obstacle run thanks to my boyfriedn who made it for me 😂 www.instagram.com/p/Dasmew-s_bE/

000

Katharina Netolitzky @kathineto.bsky.social · 12/07/2026

Yesterday was the Time2Run obstacle course and my boyfriend and I had such a blast ❤️ I’m not a particular sporty and fit person (on the contrary I struggle with some chronic pain and fatigue) so being finally able to run 10km and even succeeding in around 2/3 of the obstacles means a lot to me 🥺

020

Katharina Netolitzky @kathineto.bsky.social · 09/07/2026

The paperwork is finally done. I'm glad 😤 Now back to sketching my comic pages since I'm a bit behind schedule because of that annoying sidequest 😭

010

Katharina Netolitzky @kathineto.bsky.social · 08/07/2026

Sometimes I think, it would be better for pay someone to do my paperwork for me. But I'm afraid I can't find a person who's willing to do it for a fair fee AND feels like keeping up with my chaos 😂 I mean I'm not a worst case. I have folders ... But there's not much structure inside them 🙃

020

Katharina Netolitzky @kathineto.bsky.social · 07/07/2026

Today is one of the days that feels like chewing old gum 🫠 I did a little bit of paperwork and tampered with one double page of sketches so far. That's definitely not enough. Let's see if I'll find the energy to tackle at least one more thing on my to do list 🙃

000

Katharina Netolitzky @kathineto.bsky.social · 06/07/2026

Back on the desk after a wonderful weekend 💗 My top two priorities this work week: ✨ Umsatzsteuervoranmeldung ✨ ✨ 14 pages storyboard sketches ✨

050

Katharina Netolitzky @kathineto.bsky.social · 03/07/2026

Yay! The work week is almost over and I somehow managed to finish my page quota and even got a little bit of other stuff done as well. No I just want to sleep for two full days 😴 There's one more thing to do and then you'll find me on the couch 😂

040

Katharina Netolitzky @kathineto.bsky.social · 02/07/2026

Decadent! I went on a short run and then to the gym. And now I'll go for a swim. I probably won't be able to finish my 4 pages of storyboard because of this today. But self care is important and I'll take part in an obstacle course over 10km in a few days so it would be stupid to not prepare a bit 😬

000

Katharina Netolitzky @kathineto.bsky.social · 01/07/2026

And 8 of 88 comic pages are sketched! 4 pages a day is actually a very good pace. But 4 pages take me almost all day and I have so much other stuff to do 🫣 But well ... I'll try to come as close to 4 every workday as I can and figure everything else out along the way 😌

010

Katharina Netolitzky @kathineto.bsky.social · 30/06/2026

3 pages of storyboard done, 85 more to go 🫠

000

Katharina Netolitzky @kathineto.bsky.social · 29/06/2026

In the end my boss (so myself) gave me "hitzefrei" for 4 full days 💦 it finally cooled down a bit today so I'm back in the studio trying to get ahead of my to do list ✨
