📌 I became an opponent of the death penalty when we first discussed it in high school. I think it was my sophomore year. I haven't wavered in my opposition, even in the face of horrendous crimes. I applaud Pres. Biden's actions today. I would have commuted the sentences of all 40 death row inmates.

. 📌 I come from a family of readers. My mom ensured I had a library card when I was 5-years-old, and I’ve had one ever since. When I moved to a different city to attend school or for a new job, one of the first things I did (after ensuring I had electricity) was to get a library card.

🇺🇸 Peter Brookes is an award-winning cartoonist. I like this one because I'm a long-time fan of RFK and his policies. I was only 10-years old when he was assassinated, but I later learned of his support for Cesar Chavez and farm workers, and other disenfranchised and impoverished people.
