More individualist people are significantly more likely to work in innovative jobs - ranging from broadly classified creative occupations (+8 PP relative to a 43% share for a SD ⬆️ in IDV) to research 🔬, performing arts 🎨, and ambitious self-employment. 📈

Key finding: Selection into innovative occupations and knowledge diffusion on the job through learning explain 44% of the sizeable IDV productivity premium (~8% wage increase for the IDV difference between Argentina, Germany, and the US).
