The number of routine backlist titles— the ones you always keep on hand— that are backordered at the publishers right now is truly shocking. I am not exaggerating that this is the worst I’ve seen since Fall 2020. Very much not looking forward to the next couple months.

Ok so it’s probably not surprising that there are two different translations of the Odyssey on our weekly bestseller list, but I would like to remind folks that we had 2 translations of the Odyssey on our bestseller list back in April 2025 when the Mendelsohn published. Not an unusual thing for us.
