Kate Stone @katestone.bsky.social · 12/01/2025Friendly reminder to all #authors and #writers I love that you are writing. Continue. That's all. 030
Kate Stone @katestone.bsky.social · 08/01/2025Friendly reminder to all #writers and #authors Remember that maps and illustrations used to be cool. Even Tolkien did it. Let's bring it back! I wanna see the world you are creating - and it helps so much with orientation 121
Kate Stone @katestone.bsky.social · 06/01/2025Friendly reminder to all #authors and #writers: Be aware that listening to any "Epic Music Soundtrack" will result in epic scenes you'll be writing. Be prepared to feel it. 130
Kate Stone @katestone.bsky.social · 01/01/2025Friendly reminder to all #writers and #authors: Don't pressure yourself into writing a book this year or write daily or something. My tip: say you will write 1000 words a week. And you are way more flexible to get it done. That's still 52k words at the end. Maybe more. Consistency > quantity 030
Kate Stone @katestone.bsky.social · 23/12/2024Friendly reminder to all #authors and #writers Have a wonderful holiday. I hereby declare this time guilt-free for not writing. Take a break. You are allowed. 030
Kate Stone @katestone.bsky.social · 20/12/2024Friendly reminder to all #authors and #writers: It is still okay, to use "said" 120
Kate Stone @katestone.bsky.social · 17/12/2024Friendly reminder to all #authors and #writers: Nothing is funnier than adding at least three more vowels than necessary to the main character's name. Obviously she has to be called Ashathaliana. And have you met the love interest? Joanathaony. 040
Kate Stone @katestone.bsky.social · 15/12/2024Friendly reminder to all #authors and #writers: When describing things, replace "very" with "damn" and you'll find it easier to edit later on and get better synonyms. It is damn helpful. And also funny to read. 240
Kate Stone @katestone.bsky.social · 11/12/2024Friendly reminder to all #writers and #authors: No matter who your character might be, if they see a cat, they gotta stop and pet it. That's the rule, sorry not sorry. 9839
Kate Stone @katestone.bsky.social · 08/12/2024Friendly reminder to all #writers and #authors: James Cameron used Papyrus as a font and made billions with it. You choose whatever font you wanna write in! Comic Sans is still a no no, though. Happy writing! 230
Kate Stone @katestone.bsky.social · 27/11/2024Friendly reminder to all #writers and #authors: You have free will. If you want your character to eat fourty watermelons, have two left hands or jump every time they say "duck", you can literally make that happen. And no one can stop you. 140
Kate Stone @katestone.bsky.social · 25/11/2024Friendly reminder to all #authors and #writers: You are creating something no one else has done in that exact same way before you. That stuff is hard. Give yourself a pat on the back! 030
Kate Stone @katestone.bsky.social · 23/11/2024To all the #authors that made me cry, gasp, shut the book in denial of the words I was reading and have me emotionally wrecked after finishing - I hate you. Where is the next book? 140
Kate Stone @katestone.bsky.social · 23/11/2024Friendly reminder to all #writers and #authors: The blank page is just as afraid of you, as you are of it. Be brave! 2274
Kate Stone @katestone.bsky.social · 22/11/2024Is it just me or a #writer thing? Because I can create a male love interest that is a mix of Henry Cavill and Aragorn and somehow I end up naming him Jimmy. Also - how do you go ahead in finding names for your folks? Share your tips please ♡ #book #author 120
Kate Stone @katestone.bsky.social · 21/11/2024Friendly reminder to google "I am an author" after researching some suspicious stuff. Don't want the FBI at your door. Stay safe. #author #writing 12510
Kate Stone @katestone.bsky.social · 16/11/2024Game Jams are the only place where someone can say to you "you make the UI" and you will end up franctically looking up Youtube tutorials trying to learn how to code this stuff. If that ain't an effective crash course, I don't know :D I definitely feel cool now hehe #godot #gamejam #jamfranken 030
Kate Stone @katestone.bsky.social · 16/11/2024Starting to believe that this could actually be a decent platform for folks that are so damn tired of Twitter. Which is quite lovely. Happy connecting everyone 🙏☺️ 0190
