Does anyone want to engage in a discussion around toggles??? Why are we changing the toggle and making it weird and skinny? 😭 Is there a secret opinion of skinny toggles I’ve been kept out of? What is wrong with cute round toggles??? Looking at you Apple and Figma UI3 newest update 😭😭

Had the best day at Rutgers thanks to Writing a Life led by @roxanegay.bsky.social with @kimberlecrenshaw.bsky.social ! Meeting my favorite author and the literal inventor of intersectionality in one day has my heart overflowing with happiness!! 😭 Now time to lock in and finish this memoir 😇

A woman in a trenchcoat with a bag on her shoulder stands in the reflection of a glass door with a sign that says Writing a Life, 4th floor. She’s taking a selfie that blocks her face in the reflection.

Kimberlé Crenshaw is sitting on picture left with a microphone in her hand, with a red and white turtleneck sweater and white pants. She is smiling joyfully, her hair is styled into an updo. She sits cross legged on a black leather chair.
Roxane Gay sits to picture right, separated by a small wooden table with a red water bottle. Sitting in a matching leather chair, she is also smiling joyfully in dark wash
jeans and a gray t-shirt. Her tattoos poke out from her long sleeves that have been pushed half way up her arms. Her hair is also in an updo. The classroom chalkboard sits behind them.

Wouldn’t it be so fun to scroll and discover within your design flow?

The other day I was designing in @figma.com & wondered - what if plugins were more visually accessible? So I opened the new UI3 UI Kit and got to work. I made two mockups for an increased real estate for plugins - one adding to the left sidebar & one adding a pop-up function within the action bar.

A mockup of Figma that shows the plugin search that pops up when you hit the action bar.
