I'm barely clocking the upheaval of the government shutdown over (de)funding DHS, but today I was reminded of the brutality of weaponizing the US budget for political gain and what it's cost.

Well, sorry to borrow a good title...

ICE or ice, we have reasons to come together right now.

I'm not advocating for a dry January; I'm just advocating that no one listen to RFK, Jr.

It's been a few months.

This is not a poem about a trans woman. This is poem about career member of our military and the system that failed her.

Sometimes it hurts to hold on.

A private civilian with almost limitless financial means likely has access to data that should have been kept safely stored in governmental institutions. But he's gone now, right?

Vote. Protest. Donate. Volunteer. We need to show up for each other.

Maybe my Congressman can explain the Bill that just passed, but I have a feeling he's struggling, too...

Sticking with the Pride theme, we get a little Real today with our feelings.

Our local Pride event was beautiful except for the angry mob of proselytizers....
