Heading to Fresno on the new Gold Runner @amtrak.com line (replaced the San Joaquins). This is the route that #HighSpeedRail will eventually take and as usual it's full of SJV commuters and families. Loving the new trains and free Cheez-Its!

I just read this: "Land use change has contributed to about 35% of total anthropogenic emissions in the last 150 years." Urban sprawl increases emissions (more driving) + decreases carbon sinks (more concrete). Isn't it time we took land use change seriously as part of our US climate strategy?
