Found out that @talkingpicturestv.bsky.social is showing "Bambi Meets Godzilla" at 7:15 on Saturday morning. I haven't seen it since we rented "Godzilla 1985" one weekend back in, like, 1989, but I'm so delighted to see it again.

Also enjoy my Lemur with a frozen margarita, which, while massively overpriced, definitely made my zoo experience just a bit more delightful.

I just remembered that I picked up a USB-C rechargeable portable fan awhile ago. It was Sonic the Hedgehog themed, but, thanks to @shiftythrifting.bsky.social's sticker club, now it is not.
A little handheld electric fan with some Sonic the Hedgehog hedgehog dudes on it. I don't know who they are. Whatever. With the help of a black Sharpie and an amazing Shifty Thrifting sticker, it is now the Hot Mess Fan. Which is me. A hot mess.

If you get a Funko Pop as a gift, they make excellent garden ornaments. If you get a giant Funko Pop because it's ridiculously discounted and you feel bad for it, it also looks fabulous in your garden.
A large Slowpoke Funko Pop is standing under a fern next to a lily plant. There are leaves and other detritus underneath it. It almost looks like it belongs there. Shut up, I know it's a water Pokémon, I don't have a pond, it will be happy in my garden.

Okay, enough dicking around today. Time to do my reading.
A blue A4 notebook with stickers on it, including a teal notebook with the Loch Ness Monster on it, a pencil with a Fresno Nightcrawler topper, a sketch pad with a crayon picture of a jackalope, a jackalope holding up a notebook and saying "this notebook will fix me!", and a white label that just says "STUDY". A narrow pink eraser in its wrapper. A Rilakkuma mechanical pencil. An iPad in a pink and cream striped cover with two stickers of fuzzy worms making a heart. All on top of a lap desk with a vague brown leaf pattern on black, and hot pink rainbows and unicorns duct tape on the edges.

I bought ONE sticker from an Etsy seller, and, instead, got TWO stickers, a "business card", AND a hand-drawn sketch on the envelope. IT REALLY IS GRUNKLIN' TIME. Not S&P Approved is a GEM: www.etsy.com/uk/shop/NotS...
From the top right, going clockwise:
A sticker of Stan Pines from the cartoon "Gravity Falls", with his fist facing forward, and two Bill Ciphers in the background looking dismayed. The text reads "Grunkle Stan's Triangle Punching Club".
A sticker of Stan Pines laughing and holding a cigar. The text reads "Every day I'm grunklin'".
A hand-drawn picture of Stan Pines on a "Do Not Bend" envelope. The text reads "You got great taste in stickers, kid!"
A fake business card for the Mystery Shack. The text reads:
Stanford Pines
The original Mr. Mystery!
Proprietor, host & expert in salesmanship
"I definitely pay my taxes!"

I like how I was like "I am going to do SO MUCH every day I am going to be SO DAMN PRODUCTIVE" And then a cold and the heat wipe me out and I am like "welp, never mind." On the other hand, this is Tinsel Valentine, thembo at large, security guard at the museum, enjoying their Paralives.
A tall muscular person with breasts, aqua hair in two pigtails, hot pink glasses, a halter top with a weird blobby pattern on it, a pair of cutoffs, and grey sneakers. They have tattoos. They are standing in a generic position. There is not a thought in their head.

It was juvenile, it was ridiculous, but by gawd it was mine and I still stand by it.
A clipping from Yahoo! Internet Life, February 1999, discussing two Babylon 5 fan sites. The text reads:
Ever since Minbari ambassador Delenn emerged from her chrysalis and laid eyes on Babylon 5's Captain John Sheridan, the two were destined for love. The John And Delenn Site has a hyperlinked time line tracing their relationship from 2259 to "the present," plus news, video clips, downloads, and essays celebrating their romance. If, on the other hand, you believe that Sheridan is "an incredibly lame Earthforce captain" who is not fit to kick the boots off the "simply exquisite" Delenn, join the crusade at Delenn Deserves Better. Among the site creator's nany arguments: "Would you want to marry someone who had a Vorlon inside them?"

I think I need to renounce my British citizenship, because I've never felt so American than when I saw this in the Morrisons freezer section and whispered, "How DARE you call this Americana."

Today, I took a random "bad print out of fan art on canvas" someone gave me as a gift like over a decade ago, a *bunch* of @shiftythrifting.bsky.social stickers, and created... An Ode To Shiftiness. A multimedia collage on canvas, 2026.
A rectangle of canvas covered in stickers, mostly the bright orange kind that go on deli and meat counter products in supermarkets, such as "Family Pack", "Hard Boiled Eggs", "Breasts", "Boneless", and "Aged for Extra Flavor", as well as a few prescription bottle stickers. There are also bright metallic shiny USDA Beef-related stickers, two Shop Shifty stickers, and two red circles that say "No" on them. In the centre is a possum eating its own tail.

Did you know that the Internet Archive has old colouring books on it? Did you know that they're PDFs? Did you know that you could take those PDFs and make tiny zines with pictures from said colouring books? Am I taking this information and applying it in a way that you all expect of me? YES
A tiny 8-page zine made out of a sheet of A4 folded into eighths. On the cover, it says "Dune Coloring Book: Abridged", with all the details of the original Dune (1984) colouring book. The illustration to colour is of Paul fighting Feyd.

A very large bag of butter popcorn. It holds 40oz. Which, when you're talking about popcorn, is quite a lot. Like, the size of a pillow large.
