Little details in the gameplay too, dodging with Storm (The "mage") would have you phase out of existence and avoid any damage while you were intangible, while interceptor (Quick melee) could chain 3 shorter dodges and change directions with each one, even flying has subtle differences between them.

But when you were in mission, flying around, shooting and blasting your skills it was just amazing, there was a good variety of skills and weapons even if there were only 4 javelins, since each one had an array of different skills it could equip and tons of passive slots to change your gameplay.

That's been a long negative description but yeah the game needed some love and reorganizing (Which was actually supposedly coming before being cancelled by BioWare) especially to what didn't concern moment-to-moment gameplay) while needing less tweaks to the micro, which was its strongest suit.

Well, at least in a grinding sense, the stronghold gameplay is still fun (especially if you manage to find a squad... which I didn't) and I'd at least do each once for the experience. And sometimes doing strongholds is part of dailies so its not like there's no incentive to do them, despite the flaw

I assume strongholds (the endgame content that is) in higher difficulties would also grant you great gear, but I, a lower level player, could technically... not do them and get kitted out in very powerful gear which made actually doing the strongholds when I was in the recommended level...pointless?

The looter part was weird, at some point or another I gained legendary guns and abilities which made all the loot I gained in missions basically useless, since the ones I got (I think from the deluxe edition?) were just better, and once I started getting crystals, I could get legendaries from the ->

To my understanding it had major problems at launch, but I never saw those so I can't say. Unlocking new javelins wasn't the best, fixed level unlocks compromised the ability to actually release more javelins (which should be done to increase variety and keep long time players invested)
