Right. Planet's literally on fire, we're careening headlong into the very real risk of food shortages due to lack of fuel and fertiliser, teetering on the brink of WW3, and she's concerned that being exposed to a trans teacher is gonna be the worst thing that happens to them. I am so very tired.

If she's raging about "protecting girls" from men, then as per GC theory, she *should* object to male teachers in girls schools (Wrongly of course). I'm confused... is she objecting to a trans woman teaching at a girls school, or a man teaching at a girls school, because if she believes that trans women are men (they absolutely are not), and she's not objecting to a man teaching at a girls school, then her argument is nothing to do with gender..

Do you really want your hospital number and appointment times being known by whoever has the contract to manage the carpark tho? The more entities that have access to your PID, the less secure it is. Hospitals HAVE to keep that data safe, and not all hospitals manage their own carparks.

We do absolutely need to address the systemic issues in the country too of course, but it does seem like a reasonable step to take to try to mitigate any exacerbated damage that bot farms can do. To do that we need to watch to see what effect the destruction of these data centres has on discourse.

We know we have inherent problems, that's not even a question. But it has already been established that agencies can influence voter decisions with judicial use of algorithms and misinformation. Cambridge Analytica did a stellar job of manipulating voters, so why should Russian bots be different?

As far as I'm aware, it's like leasing a normal car, but the Charity does the modifications to the vehicles (which can be expensive), so that disabled people with different needs can use them without incurring extra expenses. That's what my colleague told me anyway, it might be different now.

From what I understand, they are usually leased by the drivers, so not free, like Motability scooters. I worked with a lady who had one cos she had Cerebral Palsy so struggled to walk. It was modified for her needs. She paid towards it via the Motability part of her (then) DLA, probably PIP now.

Yes indeed. I wasn't suggesting there was election fraud 🙂, it's been well documented that the levels of election/voter fraud in this country are super low. A decision that passed by the thinnest of margins, it was hardly a landslide. It should never have been a "simple majority" vote for something that was absolutely going to have a huge impact on people's lives. Russian interference is a major problem, but our Electoral system fucked it too.

That "Natural selection" also takes out a lot of folks who are NOT "vaccine hesitant" (and that term can fuck right off too), who can't have vaccines or are more susceptible to complications even if they've been vaccinated and get a less bad variant of a disease (like flu)
