I read Tide Bound this past weekend. I love a swashbuckling romance, which is what this book promised. There is a great story here. But at 599 pages, that story got lost in repetition, backtracking, and inconsistent characters. I'm going to do a full video review when I have a chance. #booksky

He thought the marsh was only water. He was wrong. Saltwrought unspools a haunting M/M fantasy where a widower and a finfolk test what they're willing to lose for obsession. Warning: this is not a romance. #booksky #indieauthor #horror #fantasy #QueerBooks

All that undeveloped area is currently field and forest containing endangered plants and a lot of local wildlife. Qualico is going to rip it all out and build tightly packed houses in an area that lacks the infrastructure to support it.

The wonderful and strange Lord Selane of Farawke I got to play at LARP last weekend. He is a delightfully debaucherous writer and sole heir to the Farawke estate. #larp #nonbinary #crossplay #canadianlarp

When I moved to AB, my friends said they were glad I left so they didn't have to pretend to like me anymore. They only put up with me bc I had more money. In HS, a girl became a close friend just to get close to my BF (who she was stalking). Anyway, here's a rough ref for my MC in Blue Door Café.

I think I got bored halfway through and gave up. Sometimes that happens. I'm allergic to chicken and ate some tonight and I'm suffering for it. #artsky #digitalart #originalcharacter #oc

The trouble with long weekends is that I very quickly revert back to my most natural sleep schedule, which is 1am to 9am, and it's very hard to get back to my work schedule. Anyway, here's the start of working on character portraits for another book I'm working on.

A partially complete drawing of a woman with hazel eyes, dove grey hair, and a medieval style dress.

All I do is talk about my book and I think that's ok! A Chance To Be Happy is a coming of age novel about a girl who is forced to move across country to a small town to live with her estranged father. It deals with themes of teenage angst, mental illness, and self-love. #booksky #canadian

Eeeeee!! Got confirmation today that my debut novel, A Chance To Be Happy, will be available at the Kenaston, Polo Park, and St. Vital Indigo books in mid March!! Them staying in stores depends entirely on sales so if you're planning to buy a copy and live in Winnipeg, consider buying in store!

A shelf with fake flowers and a novel. The novel features a teenage girl standing on a walkway and looking out at a cloudy sunset. Text on the novel reads A Chance To Be Happy.

@coralislandgame.bsky.social I seem to have encountered an issue. I wasn't doing anything online. Just had the scene with the goddess where she gives me a stamina fruit. Pressing ESC does nothing. Just a heads up. Sure you're on it.

I've had bluesky for awhile and apparently just never posted or used it. But with the way of the world, I'm scooting away from meta and didn't really use x anyway... Anyway, I'm a cosplayer, artist, larpers, and (recently) published author.
