They’re coming for the chicken shops. All for one and one for all.

Those Atlantic puffins are clever, mind. They’ll be hacking in from the Inner Farne.

‘Twas ever thus. I remember being upset because one of the teen magazines in around 1980 would put the vital statistics of stars on the posters and I was heavier than all the Charlie’s Angels actresses. Took a long time for me to understand that being 6” taller was significant.

This is how it is. And I’m so tired of fighting the same fight, now expecting a no from institutions I used to trust. Being denied healthcare was the biggest shock - swathes of the NHS suddenly deciding they can’t support a (now adult) trans patient even with simple things eg letters and bloods.

My mother-in-law had a very famous uncle. Everyone in the family knew this. Someone somewhere had proof, never seen. I did a lot of digging and found nothing. However, he came to her parents’ funerals and was the spitting double of that side of the family…

A diligent pair of cousins on one side has us back to the will of a great x grandfather in 1598. I’m working on the other 3/4, one set my uncle traced a long way, the other side less easy. I’ve got one lot back past my great great grandparents and the other vanishing into the highland mists.

This window has a reflective coating to reduce sun heat. The bird has no idea there’s anything behind it. It’s driving Layla *bonkers*.

A round porthole window with blue sky and buildings visible to and a sparrow perched outside on the frame. On the inside windowsill in the foreground there is a small black and white cat watching the bird intently.

Danish oil is good. Used it on a marquetry table recently, brought up the wood beautifully. Tried it on an acacia seed pod, fairly dull result.

I had a cat so obsessed with curry we’d order him his own chapati. He was a rescue and I suspect he grew up around the local (excellent) takeaways.

I’ve become very wary and read ALL the recent reviews to find positive confirmation that the place exists. Users are starting to add “yes this is real” notes to reviews.
