Pretty funny that the consensus on Bluesky is all Dems want is a “fighter” who hates Republicans as much as they do and tells Republicans to go fuck themselves and Mamdani keeps having friendly photo ops with Republicans and the replies are “he’s so good at this 😍”

Btw the purpose of this annual 38 page report is to get employers/ plan sponsors to use GSAM and include more private assets in their 401K offerings Your employees are stressed and distracted at work because they can’t save for retirement! Include private assets plz
Financial Strain May Affect the Workplace
Financial insecurity is not contained within household budgets; it follows survey respondents into the workplace. More than half of respondents (53%) say financial concerns make it difficult for them to focus at work, while 31% report missing work in the past 12 months because of a financial challenge, and 34% say they are likely to look for a new job primarily to improve their financial situation. Taken together, these findings reframe financial wellbeing not just as a kitchen table discussion, but as a workplace issue with potential implications for productivity, attendance, and retention.
Among the youngest workers surveyed, nearly seven in ten Gen Z respondents report that financial concerns make it difficult to concentrate at least occasionally: 37% "sometimes," 24%
"often," and 8% "very often." Millennials show a nearly identical pattern. What emerges is a clear generational gradient, the further workers are from retirement, the more their financial worries compete with their attention on the job.
Financial Strain May be a Driver of Absenteeism
Financial strain is not only weighing on workers' confidence, it's also pulling many away from the job entirely. More than half of Gen Z employees (53%) and nearly half of Millennials (47%) report missing work in the past 12 months because of a personal financial challenge. Among Boomers, that figure falls to just 8%, meaning younger workers are roughly seven times more likely to have missed work for financial reasons.
The scale of this absenteeism has consequences on both sides of the employment relationship. For workers, missed days can mean lost income, reduced visibility and fewer opportunities for advancement. For employers, it introduces operational friction: disrupted schedules, lower productivity, added strain on managers and less predictable staffing.
The Retention Risk
Perhaps the most consequential finding for employers is the connection between financial strain and t…Professionally Managed Portfolios and the Inclusion of Private Market Investments
One area of growing interest in retirement investing is the inclusion of private market investments within professionally managed options, which as certain 401(k) plan investment offerings. Following the Department of Labor's proposed rule to increase access to private market investments in retirement plans, this has become a growing discussion for retirement advisors and plan sponsors as they evaluate investment merit and participant saving needs. Investment return is an essential component of retirement planning and a critical component to help make every dollar work harder for individual savers.

Harris Warns of Mass
Deportations and Detention Camps if Trump Is Elected
Vice President Kamala Harris is trying to build support among Latino voters as polls show Americans trust former President Donald J.
Trump over Democrats on the border.Sept. 18, 2024
Vice President Kamala Harris warned of mass deportations and "massive detention camps" if former President Donald J. Trump returned to office, telling an audience of Hispanic leaders in Washington that his immigration agenda was a danger to the country.
"We all remember what they did to tear families apart," Ms. Harris said at a Congressional Hispanic Caucus event on Wednesday, part of an effort to build up support among Latino voters. "And now they have pledged to carry out the largest deportation, a mass deportation, in American history.

Despite all the tropes about overbearing helicopter parents I actually see the view on here a lot from mid/umc parents that you shouldn’t really push your kids. That if they’re a ‘good kid’ it doesn’t really matter what grades they get or what they learn or where they go to college ‘they’ll be fine’

We need a moratorium on people in the US reading about UK politics There’s simply no evidence the Democratic Party as a whole is sliding into Labour A lot of this is because many of you have fried your brain on the lies that Dems would be a right wing party in most other countries

This whole website 90% of the time talks about the “median voter” but 10% of the time everyone’s convinced that the whole country is 100% Democrat or 100% Republican and if you’re triangulating you must be trying to win the 100% Republicans over

So I was thinking to myself “if Hitler never existed would the Hitler mustache go in and out of style over the ensuing decades?” then I looked it up and this is a wow in this depths of Wikipedia. “Toothbrush mustache”
Wikipedia History of the toothbrush mustache.

^ Post-World War II
Fred Trump with a split variant c. 1950
By the end of World War II, the toothbrush moustache had fallen out of fashion due to its strong association with Hitler, " but it was still worn by the notable individuals Oliver Hardy and (until about 1950) Fred Trump.

Moderately desirable neighborhoods?!? You can get a two-bed in the best borough, above 110th, for half that.

Genuine question. Why does a single 38 year old with no kids making $95K / year (he no longer works for DSA for free btw) need a "house" in
