iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

It is thanks to the deep expertise and wild generosity of these two that the IGFs was as good as it was this year. Please rain your praise upon @teddydief.com & @robdubbin.bsky.social as generously as you have upon me!

No one is more qualified to co-write the IGFs than @robdubbin.bsky.social: Colbert's award-winning writer, IGF jury & indie game maker. He brought stage & comedy expertise and anxiety-curing ease and ego-less collaboration. And his writing! Incisive humor, targeted tone, deep indie expertise.

Teddy enabled every wild idea, had every name on speed-dial & understood what the IGFs were about, as a nominee, winner, & jury member. Teddy directed and edited our videos and puzzled out every piece of the IGFs with me day and night. @teddydief.com was the biggest pillar of support in the world!

IGF APPRECIATION POST PT 1 The reason the IGFs killed with so much humor and heart, and was so ambitiously creative and reflective of the indie community was in great part thanks to my co-director @teddydief.com and co-writer @robdubbin.bsky.social.

who built the show with me and shared the stage with me. There would be no show without them. If you came to watch, if you caught the stream, if you laughed at any joke or sent supportive messages, thank you. Hosting & directing the IGFs and honoring the indie community will remain with me forever.

There aren't enough words to describe the depth of the honor put upon me. I'll avoid tl;dr by doing a series of shorter posts, starting with this one to say -- I LIVED BITCH (she said while on the couch with COVID). More posts coming to rain praise and love and credit upon the people…

How to begin talking about one of the biggest moments in your life? The IGFs are THE show I looked up to for my entire career. A stage dedicated to indies, juried on true craft, honoring my absolute gamedev idols. Being nominated for one last year was a career milestone for me.
