i still feel like crying but its nice leaving and knowing i'll come back in less than three weeks instead of the soul crushing feeling i get usually bc its going to be months if not a year until i come back. even if the reason i went was a sad one this time

my home state probably just voted a far right party into the local government. around 40% of voters voted for a legally recognised far right extremist party. the final counts aren't out yet but its looking bad. i expected this but what the fuck is wrong with people. genuinely.

ballad of sword and wine/qiang jing jiu!! its a historcial, very politics heavy danmei (mlm) with a chronically ill mc! and depending on how u view it the mc is also pretty much checking all the boxes from ur first post lol

soph | 🪽 @karigrsl.bsky.social · 04/09/2026

010

soph | 🪽 @karigrsl.bsky.social · 02/09/2026

i miss my phobtin. what am i even supposed to do this weekend :((

000

soph | 🪽 @karigrsl.bsky.social · 01/09/2026

i just really hate how cbl fans love dunking on esp thai bl, as if the thai bl scene hasn't grown into the most inclusive and versatile that there is. its okay to have a style preference but acting like cbl are the only good stories on the market and their productions are superior is ridiculous.

110

soph | 🪽 @karigrsl.bsky.social · 01/09/2026

like sure cbl have their own unique style but the stories and dynamics are not that much different from other productions. i could say something about the amounts of sa present in cbl, which the other countries have started to move away from, but thats for another day.

110

soph | 🪽 @karigrsl.bsky.social · 01/09/2026

i do not like this weird superiority complex that people have about chinese bl. i think it's disrespectful to the industries that have been actively making such incredible contributions to queer art and storytelling and keeping the fandom and genre alive.

120

soph | 🪽 @karigrsl.bsky.social · 01/09/2026

also obv i don't mean cases where the lyrics get changed to fit the situation of the edit better like genderswaps or anything like that. but i've been seeing so many edits that just get lyrics wrong like do u not read the text, does that sentence even make sense to u bc to me it doesn't

010

soph | 🪽 @karigrsl.bsky.social · 01/09/2026

a pet peeve of mine is when in edits they get the song text wrong. like not oh a spelling mistake but like genuine have they not read the lyrics beforehand kinda mistakes. like thats not what the song is saying ?? please check the lyrics if you put the text into the edit its so distracting

soph | 🪽 @karigrsl.bsky.social · 01/09/2026

i love my friends and brothers a lot too but that doesn't make them any less annoying lol

000

soph | 🪽 @karigrsl.bsky.social · 01/09/2026

im so glad i dont romantically like men bc having them as friends and siblings is already hard enough i am SO ANNOYED
