It certainty got my imagination going ... was looking at possibly doing some keycaps (as you just need to flip over once you milled out the bottom, to do the top), but gaming buttons is a great shout (and should work the same way), will have to have a go at some as well :)

No real challenges, once I found a solution to get it working on my Windows 11 desktop it was a dream to program with. And with the addition of the USB modern take on the memory card, it was just as easy to test on real hardware.

That make a good project👍 will note though, it's a little delicate around the edges straight out of the box, so really does need a frame to house it. Nothing, some quick 3D modelling and a 3D print wouldn't solve though :)

... was surprised how simple it was to set up. Compatible with any #RaspberryPi 5 or compute module. Just attach the supplied display cable, and power, and with a fully updated Pi, it booted straight away to a working display. No drivers were needed.

... Like I say, since getting it, I've been slowly typing out all the DEMO programs straight from the book like it is 1983. So, if anyone wants to try them, and run them up for themselves (they all run perfectly on the VICE emulator), let me know, and I'll get the BASIC files posted somewhere.

That's what I initially thought, but after doing some digging it seems a lot of these early UK models were NTSC. ... I do have some Video 2000 tapes, but no player yet to play them on, maybe one day I'll get lucky again and find one of those as well lol

Good news, it powers on, but only got a black screen when I tried with a newer PAL disc (from what I've read it may be not compatible with this older model). So, still not 100% certain if this is NTSC or the PAL version, so going to get some discs to check. Let me know what you think!
