Last weekend I took a day trip to visit downtown Greenville, SC. It’s really one of my favorites with the mature trees, interesting architecture and even a river that runs through it surrounded by a beautiful park. Kind of kicking myself for only getting a couple of photos.

The Bat did not bite the boy - contact with the bat was enough. REMEMBER: Rabies is transmitted through saliva. Like cats, bats are meticulous groomers & therfore, covered in saliva at all times. Understand how to protect your self from bats & rabies in bat populated areas.

A good graphic about the ecology of the ghost pipe which is a parasitic perennial. I have only found them near rhododendrons which are plentiful in my area of the southern #Appalachians
