Just found out that it's Banned Books Week. "To Kill a Mockingbird" and "Catcher in the Rye" have been my favorites since high school. Both touch my heart because Boo Radley and Holden Caufield were both determined to rescue children. And Boo literally saved Jem and Scout from Bob Ewell.

I miss having a POTUS who not only could be trusted around children but touched our hearts with his deep affection for all of them. Someone snapped this in 2018 without either person in the pic knowing it. A homeless man at Joe's hotel asked him for some money. Joe obliged, talked with him for several minutes, and then went BACK into the building to get him the card of a friend who could help him. I miss Joe so much it hurts.
