Feeling feelings a lot about all the theatre I won’t get to see. In other timelines I’d be in London this December. And this coming April. And I’d be in New York a couple times too. It’s looking like none of those will happen. But I’ll find a way “in early 2028” somehow.

Made French onion soup at my dad’s behest. A whole lot of chopping (4+ lbs of onions), 2.5 hours in the oven, another 2 on the stove. Not difficult, but time-consuming, and a lot of standing. It was quite good. Plus I made baguettes. Want to get those adorable little soup pots for next time.

Honestly still quite annoyed at the battery life of my brand new phone. It’s the main reason I wanted a new one. I remember new iPhones before able to go a couple days without charging. This is only *slightly* better than my four year old phone. I mean really just barely. It just charges faster.

We know Apple does all it can to kill old phone batteries when new phones come out. But I’ve never noticed it with watches before that I recall. I’m only on my second watch in 8 years and I wasn’t planning to upgrade. But battery life quite suddenly dropped to shit recently. (Still not upgrading.)

Battery life review of iPhone 18 Pro. It’s not great. Nothing compared to my past two phones (11 and 14) when they were new. But it does *charge* quite fast on a big block. But I’d not trust it to last a whole day of regular use (haven’t even been taking photos). Which is actually kind of nuts. 😕
