The Earth rotates around its own axis at a speed of 1,600 km/h and orbits the Sun at a speed of 107,000 km/h. The Sun, in turn, orbits Sagittarius A* (the supermassive black hole at the center of the Milky Way) at 230 km/s. It’s quite incredible and hard to imagine, yet it’s true.
