OpenAI attempting to register .agent, .agi (Artificial General Intelligence), .asi (Artificial Superintelligence), .deploy, .gpt, .mcp, .model, .skill, .voice etc. top level domains thinking they own the place. There are 15 registrations from them alone

Microsoft wanting to register .copilot and .msft (isn't owning .microsoft enough?)

AliBaba wanting to own .qwen (I'm seeing a pattern here) as well as, rather concerningly, .WAN (Wide Area Network, though it might just mean something in Mandarin)

Amazon attempting to register 8 domains, among them .ring, .echo, .kuiper, and .leo

@C_Chell I've only had that single delivery probe thankfully, but I've started to receive this garbage instead:

Two registration requests received over two days with the same reason (detailed in the next image) and obviously randomly generated usernames and email addresses.

The full registration reason reading "I'm passionate about helping businesses establish a strong online presence through effective website design and user experience. My expertise lies in leveraging platforms like WordPress and themes such as Emdash to create visually stunning and functional websites. A lot of people think the Žižkov TV tower is one of the ugliest pieces of architecture ever created, but @ElusivePurple likes it, and I'm inclined to agree. The designer had a vision and went for it, making for a strikingly retro-modern shape that gives it so much endearing character.

We also got to see some illustrations held at gunpoint

The illustration is a simplified drawing of a human, with a line coming out of one of the eyes horizontally showing the recommended observation height. Except the illustrator made the choice of giving the eyes absolutely tiny irises and a wide smile, so it looks like someone smiling in absolute terror.

After the con we went up onto the Žižkov TV Tower

The St. Prokopa church as seen from the tower. It's kinda cute from this distance, surrounded by all the red-roofed buildings.

A big green hill of a park in the middle of otherwise mostly flat city streets

The model visible in one of the observation decks of Žižkov tower. The tower has three separate levels of decks, each split into three further rounded slabs spread radially. You can see tiny babies crawling up and down the mast of the tower.

The Masaryčka building (?) as can be seen from the tower. It looks like a beached ocean liner that got taken over by nature thanks to its horizontal ribbing that swoops upward at the back of the building making a short tower, and the green roof.

I just completed "Playground" - Day 8 - Advent of Code 2025 #AdventOfCode adventofcode.com/2025/day/8 Needed a little time to figure out what to precompute and how to store it, but managed to keep the runtime of my solver monolith almost instant ^^

@lumiere According to obsproject.com/forum/threads/how-to… you should set pixel format in OBS Settings -> Advanced -> Colour Format

@lumiere You can do some pretty advanced stuff for OBS recording via Output -> Output mode: Advanced Then on the Recording tab you can set Custom Output (FFmpeg) I'm not quite sure if and where it can take pix_fmt though

Default robots.txt

Forgejo instances have in the last several months been hit hard by all sorts of new crawlers. One of the easiest way that crawlers disrupt Forgejo instances is by navigating to expensive to serve endpoints, creating many repo archives and filling disk space or getting lost in trying many different issue filters. Forgejo now serves a strong restrictive robots.txt, if no robots.txt is set. This should help with reducing the impact of crawlers that respect robots.txt by not navigating to endpoints that can disrupt Forgejo instances.

Just witnessed #ChamSys give their documentation site a massive facelift. There's now a sidebar with an outline, and the search feature is no longer being provided by Google, but instead by the site itself!

Very early 2000's styled simple documentation page detailing MagicQ's Timecode Support. There's a delightful white-on-blue back button on top, below a search bar "enhanced by Google"

The same page but post-facelift. A page outline is just about visible in the sidebar, and the search bar has disappeared.
