while i enjoy the final fantasy resonance wine conceptually i do think it is but a pale shadow of the way final fantasy used to move, where lightning was modelling menswear for prada from the stately manor in valhalla where she conspired to kill her sister

On the topic of it! I played the FF14 collab in FF15 before I started playing FF14. That aerial Garuda fight SLAPPED I redid it so many times. And the arrival of FF15's own Garuda as Noct's final summon was CHEFS KISS. And the VA's are married! I had to draw it in 2018 hrhe

Noctis from FF15 with his final summon, the FF15 version of Garuda

Kinda a bummer but the long maintenance and my insane 50+ hour work week this week means I can't replay the FF15 collab in time 🥺 but I'm happy i did the first cutscene bit and saw my Noct in game again ✨

My absolute favourite thing that happens in Clair Obscur is also the weirdest silliest spoiler so I can't talk about it but post-game monolith I always think of you ✌️

When I was 10 I won a Robert Burns poem telling competition and I chose "Address To The Toothache" and little did I know that I set myself up for the rest of my life with toothache. Today I'm reciting it in pain.

Address To The Toothache - Robert Burns (first 2 verses)

My curse upon your venom'd stang,
That shoots my tortur'd gums alang,
An' thro' my lug gies mony a twang,
Wi' gnawing vengeance,
Tearing my nerves wi' bitter pang,
Like racking engines!

When fevers burn, or argues freezes,
Rheumatics gnaw, or colics squeezes,
Our neibor's sympathy can ease us,
Wi' pitying moan;
But thee - thou hell o' a' diseases -
Aye mocks our groan.

Spiritfarer is lovely but man is it a bit tedious

Playing Spiritfarer at the hospital is in my top 5 worst timing of things (eating a pork cutlet while watching Okja still number 1)

Had a chat recently with @karaiel.bsky.social recently that made me want to revisit and replay this beautiful project. I’ve encountered a lot of new FFXV fans in the last year or so who might not know about it, so I thought I would share. ❤️

But it's heavy on the soul when you get rejected and try not to take it personally. I think it's always important to celebrate wins and others approval but remember this should be fun and first for yourself! Make art for the timeline/fandom regardless of a zine :)

Karaiel 🌟 @karaiel.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

I think taking part in collaborative fan projects is fantastic. Not only is it giving you a taste of what it's like working with others in a semi-professional manner towards a goal (regardless of behaviour just like real life jobs) but you're among like-minded passionate creatives for the love of it

Karaiel 🌟 @karaiel.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

Thinking of my time doing zines and collabs. 10 years ago I was rejected by all zines I entered, my first acceptance was a digital only FFXV, I was so happy. I put a lot of work into it! It took a long time until I was consistently making good FFXV art for twitter and fandom connections for zines!

It's kind of crazy to think I was 24 when I played the game, the same age as Lunafreya and the boys, and 10 years later we've all aged together and lived through the horrors (except...Lunafreya 😔)

Keenly aware the 10th anniversary of FFXV is around the corner and I haven't done anything for it yet, but it's neat that Noctis will emerge from the crystal soon to save us from capitalism 🥹

I uploaded my 2025 Kink Zine comic "Queen's Gambit" to itch if anyone would like it as an individual PDF! I reformatted it nicely with some bonus illustrations - this is basically what I printed for Dokomi previously, but better quality... 👉 rkgk553.itch.io/queens-gambit

Zine Cover of Queen's Gambit (Zoraal Ja x Sphene + Otis )

Screenshot of the third page of the zine / first page of the comic. Robot Otis is wandering around the ruins of old Alexandria. He hears moaning and sees Zoraal Ja and Sphene having sex behind a rock.

Tenth page of the zine. An individual illustration of Sphene lying down with her skirt spread around her.
