My Aussie Broadband NBN has been out of action all today; but their website doesn't report that kind outage. I've been unable to contact their support line - which implies to me there is a widespread problem. But I haven't seen any other mention of it on the internet. So I'm wondering what's […]

@stib Fancy. I can see how that would be useful. Often when I'm drawing stuff, I have a mouse on the side to do that kind of stuff. Although all of it could be done without the mouse, it feels awkward to not have it. I can imagine that your gadget could fill that gap (although it would probably […]

Four panel comic from smbc-comics.com.

1) A cockroach says "Oh man! The stupid human put food in here. Fool!"
2) "I'm gonna give it to everyone!" (Cockroach leaves with 'food' from a contain labelled 'roach poison'.)
3) A man looking at a computer screen says "This stupid company made a controversial ad. How embarrassing for them!"
4) "Better share it with all my friends and family so everyone knows which ad not to look at." (Man walks away from the computer while looking at his phone.)

I just watched Avatar 3, and I'm utterly stunned by how bad it was. The whole movie was a string of tired and generic tropes, strung together with random crap-ex-machina. To think that a renowned and venerated director, with vast amounts of time and resources, would produce such garbage […]
