Saw people sharing this, and like, nooo don't do this. This is what student protestors did, in Utrecht, in Amsterdam, in cities across the world, and everywhere they got beaten up and sometimes sexually assaulted by the police.

Ik ben het helemaal eens met de tekst van Yesilgöz. Het is cruciaal dat de politie geen wantrouwen veroorzaakt bij de burgermeerster, en zich aan de instructie houdt. Ik hoop dat Dijksma voor de veiligheid van haar burgers gaat staan, en ons voortaan van het politiegeweld beschermt.

Er gaat een petitie rond die oproept tot een motie van wantrouwen tegen Faber. Teken deze petitie alsjeblieft niet. De reden voor de mvw zou zijn dat Faber incompetent is. Met de mvw zou zij vervangen kunnen worden voor een competente racist. actie.degoedezaak.org/petitions/mo...

In the Netherlands, walking home after a peaceful and legal protest is now punishable by broken kneecaps and severe bite wounds. The police would rather torture citizens than allow them to speak up against a genocide.

Police pushed a student to the ground as they tried to arrest them. In this moment a frenetic police dog started mauling the student. Videos show that the police officer is not in control of the animal, which totally locked jaws into the leg of the student. Despite deep wounds, police initially refused to take the student to the ER, who had to beg to get medical attention. The student is still hospitalized, having undergone two surgeries already. Another demonstrator was hit on the head by a baton, a third had their kneecap broken. Students were in jail until today, and while they are now released, another student participating in a support demo was arrested today. They still have not been released.

This was murder by neglect and institutional cruelty. For years, people have warned the media, the ministry, the IND, and society as a whole of the horrendous situation of LGBTQIA+ refugees in the Netherlands. Alice Servov's story still hasn't been reported on in any Dutch media.

Aa a 16-year-old trans girl who fled Russia. Raped at her shelter in Ter Apel at the end of 2023. Seeking help and protection as a 17-year-old in the Netherlands, she died in the night of March 27, 2025 in a shelter for adults.

This is not a first hand account, but these are my observations from footage I've seen on social media:

I've never seen anything like this. In Amsterdam protestors were arrested, loaded into busses, and then abandoned. This is illegal, but has been standard procedure.

This time, however, Police came back after the protesters were unarrested to chase and beat them.
There was no clear aim to these chases and beatings, which happened in the middle of nowhere. A number of protesters were snatched while others were forced to run from police threats and beatings, without being arrested.

I don't genuinely don't know what the purpose of this was other that to traumatise peaceful protesters. Halsema will have to answer for this.
