My first concrete try at adding fur to Kitu. The face elements are protected so no Clipping occur, and some strand fur go over them instead, like it would in real life. Proud of the result, even if it does not achieve the result I wished initially. That's all for today, folks! #blender

Blender Geometry nodes to clean hairs where unwanted, and move those that would clip

Shader node in blender to select the right hair material based on the underlying material (selected thanks to another geometry nodes)

The finish product of the Day2. Kitu is nice and cute like this. The tail is not really nice. I think I will have to redo it. I did not dare to ask the AI if the topology was OK, because it was a mess down there 🙈. First thing tomorrow, redo properly that part. #blender

I'm not expert enough to really understand the need for clean topology, but I accept the "it will behave odd later, so fix it Human!" If you see a difference, tell me. (the lighting difference is just here to help see if there is any difference 😅)

First, the big mouth shape part. After creating the thing, the topology was not good. My IA teacher told me I need to get rid of triangle in the topology because they create too much tension. Sooo I made Kitu relax. Personally , I do not see the difference.

The blend is seamless. I'm really proud of the result. It is not a perfect copy of the plushy, but close enough for me. I home fur will play nice with that shape.

I start with Kitu, a little fox 🦊. The design is from a plushy I bought on the Inari yama in Japan. So I have no clue on who made the design. All 3D by me tho. Stay tune for more on them. Love ya~
