Why do people write LinkedIn posts as if it’s a weird long ass type of haiku

C and C++ had an incredible run.
But memory safety was never guaranteed.

People will argue about performance.
I argue that crashing less is performance.

We bought these candies and I’m perpetually in awe with how much they look like real stone pebbles

A bag of hard candy called “Pedres de Riu/piedras de rio” in Catalan/Spanish which means river rocks and they look and feel exactly like the kind of pebble you would find at some rivers

The oil spray was a fail, but on the other hand I am mastering the art of air fryer croquetas The burn in the crust is still a bit uneven (I think the oil is not uniform enough), but they are crispy and didn’t fall apart while frying!

I feel your pain. I had my fair share of beds, drawers and TV stands. Although IKEA stuff can be fun at times. To this day nothing has beaten the absolute hell it was to assemble children’s play kitchens. I did two and didn’t learn from the first since I thought “how hard can it be?” for both

And here’s the result! I’m so happy with how it turned out. My tattoo artist is so talented and her line work is so delicate, her design captured she characters details I loved the most too, can’t get tired of looking at it and to carry her art with me

Hey #b3d folks! Trying to make a very simple “Bounding Box Mesh” tool with #Blender #GeometryNodes, but it either replaces the mesh data of my object or I can use a Join Geometry to keep both. I'm wondering if it's possible to create a new object from the bounding box directly from the tool?

My simple geometry node setup in blender. It’s set to mode Tool and it uses a Bounding Box node to extract the bounding box of the input geometry and a join geometry node to output both the original geometry and the bounding box

Again, really loving the illustrations in the book! There’s so much nuance I miss with my level of Japanese, but it looks like her mom is lot more stern in the book and there’s a conflict between her wanting Kiki to follow witch traditions, while Kiki wants to learn to be her own person

In the visual side, it’s like when Understanding Comics talks about the universality of cartoon faces. But I wonder if there’s something similar in the mechanics side too, where simple mini games can fit a certain kind of activity and represent it in a way that you feel certain aspects of it more

Yesterday I finally finished chapter 1, onwards to chapter 2! It took me 3 days to read 8 pages since I'm looking up every unknown word, but I'm enjoying the process. Also made an iOS shortcuts that opens the camera, extracts text from the photo taken and shows as a selectable block which helps!

So, turns out we became Guinea Pig people. We got this little guy on the left a couple of weeks ago and today I went to pick up a friend for him. They are still unnamed. My partner wants names like Federico Fellini, my daughter hates it and wants Paco or Oreo, so there’s a big rift right now

In Japan they are known as Silent Hill Pianississimo, Pianissimo, Piano, Mezzo Piano and Mezzo Forte

Different musical dynamics notation symbols for the following:

Pianississimo (ppp)
Extremely soft. Softer dynamics occur very infrequently and would be specified with additional ps.

Pianissimo (pp)
Very soft.

Piano (p)
Soft.

Mezzo piano (mp)
Moderately soft; louder than piano.

Mezzo forte (mf)

A week ago we were crying desperately, believing our boy was going to be taken by an acute kidney failure. After taking him to a clinic that was going to give him an hemodialysis, they managed to turn his situation around and he has mostly recovered and he finally came home today!

My first air fryer meal was a crispy chicken burger! The crispness was on point and made some fries as well to go along with it. Have tried a few other things since. Managed to make some crispy croquetas, but depending on the filling they would melt away a bit. Still delicious, though

Uniqlo announced a Ghibli collection and my partner got the notification when it went for sale. Within minutes between me putting in my card and checkout, this Mononoke sweatshirt sold out. Luckily I managed to grab one to pick up in the store and I love it 😍

My daughter came home today carrying a bunch of water balloons. She doesn’t throw them at other kids, nooo. She calls them their babies and now they live in the bathtub and I had to move them aside carefully to shower today. Guess I have to learn to live with my bouncy inanimate grandkids now?
