Brian Foley @kansashoops.bsky.social · 07/10/2026They are at #2 on my Motown playlist (which includes some Philly sound), but like the Martha and the Vandellas they didn't have as many hits as some of the others. 140
Brian Foley @kansashoops.bsky.social · 07/10/2026North by Northwest is one of my favorite films of all time, and she was fantastic in it. 010
Brian Foley @kansashoops.bsky.social · 27/09/2026Since the advent of digital music, I've mainly listened to individual songs or playlists, rather than entire albums. These are the albums I've probably listened to most often, beginning to end. 0130
Brian Foley @kansashoops.bsky.social · 23/09/2026Classic 60's psychedelic artwork on Disraeli Gears by Cream. Best viewed with blotter acid. Or so I've been told. 1180
Brian Foley @kansashoops.bsky.social · 23/09/2026Gotta love AI. At least it got the part about the Lynx clinching the 1 seed right (thanks to the GSV loss). 030
Brian Foley @kansashoops.bsky.social · 22/09/2026Commodore 64 baby! I had one briefly in grad school that I used mainly for word processing with PaperClip™️. Files were limited to about 6-8 pages of text. Anything longer had to be constructed by linking files together. Only way to see a longer document in its entirety was by doing a print preview. 3240
Brian Foley @kansashoops.bsky.social · 20/09/2026Might be time to listen to this one again. I don't listen to it often, but I always enjoy it when I do. Wonder, San Andreas Fault, Gulf of Araby, Carnival, and several other good songs on here. 040
Brian Foley @kansashoops.bsky.social · 19/09/2026*Unless you are a member of our administration or one of Trump's pals. 010
Brian Foley @kansashoops.bsky.social · 17/09/2026So if you saw one of these next to a door, you would not assume it was a camera of some kind? 200
Brian Foley @kansashoops.bsky.social · 15/09/2026I would say Stop Making Sense, but I think that qualifies as a "greatest hits or compilation" album. Given that, I will go with Aja in a tight race over Dark Side of the Moon and LZ IV. 0110
Brian Foley @kansashoops.bsky.social · 15/09/2026Last of the Mohicans had gorgeous cinematography. 241
Brian Foley @kansashoops.bsky.social · 12/09/2026You do know what "pathetic" literally means, right? A pathetic character is one who inspires pathos. 110
Brian Foley @kansashoops.bsky.social · 09/09/2026Ever since Baby Driver came out, Bellbottoms has been at the top of my Driving Music list. A very underrated choice, though, is the fast version of We Will Rock You. 150
Brian Foley @kansashoops.bsky.social · 06/09/2026Led Zeppelin, but not at that stop on the tour. Give me one of the later June dates. 140
Brian Foley @kansashoops.bsky.social · 04/09/2026Although the web site's conclusion is that I sound like I am from Nebraska?!?! Been there once. It did better with the "cities most like you". My linguist friend said that most of my speech came from living on the West Coast until age 10, but some words/terms I obviously learned later in OK/KS. 000
Brian Foley @kansashoops.bsky.social · 04/09/2026This tracks. Born in WA. Lived in CA twice. Lived in CO since 91. Try like hell not to sound like I lived in OK for 10 years as a child. Matches with what a linguist friend told me when I was in college. He said I mostly speak in the bland, accent-free English they train network anchors to speak. 100
Brian Foley @kansashoops.bsky.social · 31/08/2026Either Led Zeppelin or Rolling Stones will work easily, as would The Beatles. Talking Heads and Steely Dan come up a little short of 5 hours. 070
Brian Foley @kansashoops.bsky.social · 27/08/2026Speaking in Tongues, Talking Heads Burning Down the House -> This Must Be the Place (Naive Melody) 050
Brian Foley @kansashoops.bsky.social · 24/08/2026Much more impressive than mine, although I've lived in more states. 001
Brian Foley @kansashoops.bsky.social · 20/08/2026Pink Floyd, Animals I know some Floyd fans here really like it, but there's not a single song on it that I like. Sorry. 130
Brian Foley @kansashoops.bsky.social · 16/08/2026I get the joke, but no. His tastes in pretty much everything except women are incredibly dated. 1141
Brian Foley @kansashoops.bsky.social · 16/08/2026Yep. I feel better about myself now. Stupid record company! 020
Brian Foley @kansashoops.bsky.social · 15/08/2026OK, since my Jackson Browne answer was technically invalid, I'll offer up Sneakin' Sally Through the Alley, Robert Palmer 2100
Brian Foley @kansashoops.bsky.social · 14/08/2026Forget the Pulitzer. He's getting the Order of Lenin. 081
Brian Foley @kansashoops.bsky.social · 13/08/2026I'm sorry. Where exactly do you see the part about "for EACH disclosure and transfer"? In the actual statute that you are so adamant about, that is? 100
Brian Foley @kansashoops.bsky.social · 10/08/2026Since many others have said Firefly, I'll say Wonder Man. Initially renewed; suddenly cancelled. 110
Brian Foley @kansashoops.bsky.social · 05/08/2026I've been there quite a few times because the road to Cripple Creek is really pretty in the fall when the aspens turn color. 020
Brian Foley @kansashoops.bsky.social · 05/08/2026Cripple Creek is an old mining town in Colorado that now has been taken over by cheesy little casinos. But there's no body of water anywhere in the area, so I am not sure where the ferry idea came from. 120
Brian Foley @kansashoops.bsky.social · 04/08/2026Unrelated to music but I vividly remember my dad used to buy these short films that NFL Films put out on little 8mm reels. He loved to watch those things on his projector screen. 030
Brian Foley @kansashoops.bsky.social · 04/08/2026Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Shaka Zulu I bought this after they appeared on Paul Simon's Graceland album. 161
