But, it isn't like paving it over is going to fix this. In fact, it cost a crap ton of money that could've been used in FAR better ways. Carter put solar panels on the White House roof, Reagan didn't get in and just turn them off. They had to PAY to REMOVE them. Same with the vegetable garden.

The 'no permits', 'no congressional approval' DEMONSTRATES that nobody 'let it happen'... if DJT thought we'd just let it happen, there'd be no reason to not seek congressional approval and get permits.

That was actually pretty revealing. Because in the clip, Stephanopolos doesn't SAY Trump, or 'the president'. Which would indicate that JOHNSON heard the terms 'the enemy within' and using American cities as training grounds and immediately connected it to what Trump had said.

Then what's needed is better data security for credit agencies (believe me, data mining to figure out someone's credit rating is the LEAST dangerous thing they can do.. they have your name, address, SSN, date of birth, open accounts, etc. AND enforcement when companies DO that. REAL enforcement.

The Administration plays everything is absolutely what they say it is. That boat WAS, no doubt allowed (especially the reasonable kind) delivering drugs, human trafficking, whatever it is now. The point is EVEN IF IT WAS, we STILL have due process. Because even the most sure people can be wrong.

The worst part about that is, besides being right, a corporation doesn't NEED to make a profit at all. There are people who think the CEO salary comes from profits, but it's a COST. Most corporate profits are used to boost stock values and for stock buybacks.

The courts are the problem. Trump appointed a third, 6 of the 9 are conservative. Several have gotten expensive gifts for DECADES. There's no ethical guidelines. The only agency that has any jurisdiction is the IRS. Gifts over a certain amount have to be reported and taxes paid, even by SCOTUS.

I get it, though sad about it. But he is doing everything he can, in his mid-80s, to equip everyone to do this. Mentoring, encouraging, set up infrastructure to help get funding that doesn't come with oligarch strings and perks. And he's on a teaching tour in RED STATES with AOC and others.

The main source of the 'fraud and abuse' in Medicaid and Medicare is from PROVIDERS. Not the public. If providers are doing their jobs and not padding billing and denying service, the most someone who isn't supposed to have that service could get is medical care when they need it.

I imagine he'll be a 'show pony'. Not like his almost 60 year old out of shape ass can handle 14 hour days and field work. One of many reasons (discounting the ethical issues, I imagine anyone bothered by that wouldn't take the job or would've quit long before now) they can't get/keep agents.

Most pay their own taxes, directly. ICE uses IRS records to track them down. The IRS has the ITN, an ID number they can use for taxes when the person doesn't qualify for a Social Security number. To avoid the Capone scenario. (Despite all his crimes, Capone ended up in prison for tax evasion.)

And they aren't, even on a technical level. Crossing the border 'wrong' isn't a criminal offense. Staying here past your visa, not going through all the steps perfectly (or at all)? Same. They are all, at most, civil offenses that are legally equivalent to non-moving violations for your car.
