Couple of quick pieces for #Rattober! Sadly don't have time to take part in the whole challenge, but since one of the prompts was Dragon Rat, I absolutely had to do that one!

Simple illustration of a grey dragon rat flying.

Simple illustration of a red dragon rat, sleeping on their hoard of Cheerios.

✨ Into Starlight ✨ Illustration for @avelos.bsky.social Viel enjoying her wings. I am so proud of this one 🥹 [ #art | #dragon ]

Blue, fluffy dragoness soaring across star filled landscape. She looks rather blissful. I guess that's how it goes when you have wings!

Oh that's good to know! There may be a solution then if the buyer is happy to pay for the fees. Will definitely need to look into it some more and will keep an eye on how these first few weeks go with these new rules.

Danielle English @kanizo.bsky.social · 02/07/2026

Oh man what a mess!! D: Thanks for the link and for confirming that! And yes definitely!! I can't see this working at all, the only thing it will do is damage small businesses :/

Danielle English @kanizo.bsky.social · 30/06/2026

Urgh yeah that's a good point, it's all been pretty vague and unhelpful so far! It would make things a lot easier if stuff was grouped together. Guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens and hope more info will be available soon!

Danielle English @kanizo.bsky.social · 30/06/2026

Ahh yeah I'm not too sure with this one, the wording is kindof making it sound like it's the sellers responsibility, but it's super vague with not much info. It's something to do with removing the de minimis thing like what the US did. Hopefully there will be a bit more clarity on the matter soon!

Sadly it's because of those types of corporations they've just done a blanket rule that effects everyone :(

110

Danielle English @kanizo.bsky.social · 30/06/2026

Definitely ;^; And thank you, really hope I can get something sorted out soon!

010

Danielle English @kanizo.bsky.social · 30/06/2026

It really is! So frustrating and it's always the small businesses that end up suffering with these changes :(

Danielle English @kanizo.bsky.social · 30/06/2026

Thank you so much for the kind words and for sharing! <3

Another blow to small businesses 😢 Really sorry about this, but thought it was best to temporarily stop orders to the EU for now whilst I try work out what to do about this new situation.

The text reads: Unfortunately I have had to make the difficult decision to temporarily stop selling to the EU whilst I sort out a solution for the new tariff rules that will be implemented on the 1st July.

Previously any orders under €150 would be free from tariffs. However, from the 1st July the rules will be changing so, every item will now incur a €3 tariff. So for example, if you order a sticker and a bookmark there will be an additional €6 fee (€3 charged per item type)

Currently there isn't really a good way to set up taking the tariffs so they can be pre-paid and, a lot of my products are a low price so I can't take on the additional costs myself.

I'm hoping to have something set up soon, and waiting to see if there will be some more info or support from the platforms I sell on.

Thanks for all your support, and sorry about this whole mess!
