How about all us Bruce Coville fans! Goblins in the Castle was my first and maybe favorite as a kid. I had thought the "My Teacher is an Alien" series sounded silly until I read it, and it was surprisingly deep and heartfelt! Let's not forget "Jeremy Thatcher, Dragon Hatcher" too!

It's great that they make tear-free shampoo for kids, but like: why not just make all shampoo tear-free by default? Adults don't enjoy accidentally stinging there eyes either!

I keep hearing people talk about how great or how bad Christopher Nolan's "Theodicy" is... Who would have thought one man's take on how to reconcile God's goodness and omnipotence with the existence of suffering and evil would be such a popular topic?

It was, uh, weird and unsettling. Genuinely hilarious at times. Also a brutal, insane look at adult male loneliness and failed social skills. Protagonist is so narcissistic, petty and crazy he's hard to root for. I don't really know what to think... 3 stars I guess? letterboxd.com/kangaruegg/f...

I love that the movie gave more screen-time to Bonnie! But also: I DON'T love that they gave more screen-time to Bonnie, if ya know what I mean... A direct sequel to Toy Story 2, really. Super-effective emotionally, as they always are :) XD :P >:( :o :( :'( :D :)

My thoughts on "Project Hail Mary," the movie: (spoilers unless you've seen the final trailer) Sunshine and Interstellar had a baby and it's an adorable rock Muppet! Oh, and the Martian from The Martian is its best friend. Ironically, the human is more of a blank slate than the rock Muppet...

Watching Fellowship of the Ring again, here's my hot take: You should skip the prologue in the extended edition (and maybe even the theatrical version?), especially for folks who've never seen or read the story! For all the same reasons CJ the X told us to "skip the first 5 minutes of Tangled"

An insult that I never understood: "mouth-breathers." Don't we all need to breathe through our mouths sometimes? Lots of activities actually encourage you to breathe through your mouth, like various sports and exercises, playing a wind instrument, etc. What's wrong with that??

A new video edit, featuring "Day One" by Bon Iver! I swear, this is the kind of imagery that goes through my head when I'm listening to this part of the song. I mean, it's the closest approximation to a "waltzing" pathfinder I can think of, and I thought it fit the music well...

Prince's 'When Doves Cry' <-- This is what "this is what it sounds like" sounds like... Except the words are shifted to the second part of the melody, and it never says "when doves cry." Every time I hear it, I really want this K-Pop Demon Hunter to say "when doves cry," dang it!

HOT TAKE: It is absurd when citizens born in the US complain about immigrants (legal or otherwise) being "unworthy" of US citizenship, whether it's because they are "stealing" jobs and resources, aren't doing it "the right way," or out of fear that they might be "dangerous." 1/3

Wow, if James Cameron had written The Terminator as a literal "Mecha-Hitler" sent back in time to kill Sarah Connor by Nazi AI that had become self-aware, it would have been seen as completely ridiculous and WAY beyond any suspension of disbelief! Yet here we are in our current Grok-ed up reality...
