#JustRead Windhaven, George R.R. Martin & Lisa Tuttle. 7/10 It’s three novellas combined to tell the story of one person’s life, and although it comes together pretty well, GRRM’s novellas take a minute for me to get invested, so my engagement was super up and down. The good bits HIT though.

Finished my last Hannah Grace book, Holiday Ever After, and it was surprisingly great! Hell, I want to reread this at Christmas because it’s such a cosy read. The plot is kinda cliche, but it gives a natural reason for the protagonist to explore this super charming town and interact with everyone.

Aaron from Icebreaker is so god damn boring. I like art that makes me feel something, regardless of if it’s good or bad, as long as it feels intentional, and Will in Daydream gave me such a visceral ick that I love him. Definitely my favourite character.

Biological abnormalities and their effect on performance is pretty common in sports. The only reason she’s still included in trans discourse is because these people are incapable of admitting they made a mistake initially. Also, maybe there’s so little evidence that this is all they have.

I love how A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms has developed its side characters. The novella did a great job of characterising them in a short amount of time, but the added scenes and actors’ performances elevated them so much. Love it when that happens.
