I had a wonderful first time being at a book event as an author, at the Chocolate Town Book Fest in Hershey, PA. I feel like I've learned so much already (took so many notes!) and braved the social anxiety to go around and talk to people and meet new authors in my local community 💙

Not everyone pulls nearly 50k words. You also can do an outline beforehand but don't have to (I do a paper outline usually in a notebook) This is my favorite me-time of the year. I set aside everything and pretty much just write

Yes, you can ONLY write all of your words in the span of these three days and you have to have a witnesses' signature saying you did Now all that being said, I've noticed the vast majority of the books are typically novella-length

I have found a lot of people haven't heard of this contest, but it's actually been going on since the 1970s. It is based out of Canada and is currently with Anvil Press. During the time it's been running, there has been a reality show of it The winner gets their book published
