Our last day we went straight from the Serengeti plains to a village on the slopes of Mt. Meru where they grow coffee and bananas, we got to see how they grow and process the coffee from seed to bean. We even got to roast and grind our own using traditional methods. Best coffee I ever tasted.

kane major @kanemajor.net · 26/06/2026

Spent a couple days in the Serengeti plains, including a hot air balloon ride. At a loss for words here. Saw two successful hunts within an hour. A cheetah took down a gazelle and a pride of lions took out a Zebra. Insanity.

Ngorongoro day 2. Crater floor is 5700 ft. elevation. Rim is about 8000+

Peeking out from near the top of the rim.

We hit up Lake Manyara and Ngorongoro crater on our way. Apparently formed from a volcano eruption about a million years ago.

Toyota Land Cruiser. I trust this thing w/ my life

In the crater. Top of the rim is around 8400 ft.

Ok so, verdict is in. International travel kinda sucks (economy class). They really do pack you in like friggin sardines. We were on one of them joints with three rows of seats on either side and four rows of seats in the middle. Cramped.

Buried in recent reporting by Ronan Farrow on Sam Altman is this little gem right here: Rick Rubin palling around w/ the Kushners. Absolute piece of shit that one www.newyorker.com/magazine/202...

Altman had known for years. The deal would value OpenAl at eighty-six billion dollars and allow many employees to cash out millions in equity. Kushner emerged from a meeting with Rick Rubin, the music producer, to a missed call from Altman.
