It supports ARKit, VRM, and VRCFT Unlimited blendshape standards for face tracking. I hope when it goes open beta that everyone can provide feedback to keep the app growing. Note tongue and cheekPuff don't exist in MediaPipe's training data.

Been testing an app that has MediaPipe ported to Android for 3D VTubers, giving another accessibility for those preferring Android for face tracking. I'll let you know when the app becomes public for you guys to test (Gynn created the app).

I recommend learning 3D blocking out. Block-out is like a 2D sketch or a planning sheet for an essay. Make it exist first (Plan), You can make it good later (2nd mesh modeling+polishing)

The eyebrows on the previous model were in front of the hair because AOVs weren't a thing until 4.2 LTS which now I can do eyebrow over hair more naturally.

You can see the difference between previous and current model. Blender was used for the rendering.

Fun fact, I used Warudo's IK setting to keep the right hand in place. You can use those IK settings for more posing control!

I need to change my streaming schedule to compensate for the monthly changes and when year 2 gets intense. I'll probably stream once a week on Saturdays and see how I feel about it but for now do expect some wonkiness while I try to adjust to the big changes.

Was very tired yesterday but just know school is getting better. I made sure my mannerisms matches the teaching style, keep it simple and stay chill through it. It also helps with the memory so gotta keep it up!

Trust me, I avoided college for 4 years cause even I thought it was a bad idea before. You're free to disagree with what I'm doing, I respect it. But I won't turn back or drop out, I just have to suck it up for my situation.

Sorry for the long text but in a nutshell, it all sucks but I have to do this cause if I don't, I'll be even worse off. I mainly made the post to say: "I cried first day of college but I ain't giving up despite the whiplash of college reality".

Also I'm aware about the strikes happening with nursing in some states where some nurses get underpaid or overworked. Honestly every workforce has their share of pros and cons or even extremely annoying/painful moments.

Heck even with my own commissions in the past, I had to deal with poor scheduling and communication, being overworked unexpectedly while being underpaid at the same time, and struggling to find a company that my skills can fit but also them actually wanting to pay me full time.

The 3D industry has it's fair share of issues like the rise of AI usage from companies replacing workers causing layoffs, 3D artists relying on freelancing until hired full time but companies tend to just freelance/contract for one-time as it's cheaper, overworked schedules for NDA deadlines, etc.

I'm aware it's tough and it's not for everyone especially the faint of heart. If I drop out or change majors, I still have to pay those classes anyways so that's a gunshot to my foot. I willingly choose to be a nurse despite knowing how sucky the workforce is.

Yeah nursing is pretty expensive and I'm aware people get into debt quickly and then pay it back after getting the job. At least pushing through college and even staying strong during the job, I can provide the stability me and my family needs while still doing 3D on my free-time.

I'm a sensitive person (Cries easily even when not sad) but I'm very glad for the class despite the initial whiplash. Despite being algebra, I learned what I can improve on real-world wise so I can be less sensitive and stronger. I'm paying to be ready for my job so yipeee!

This would've been a video but Warudo's pretty environments take 95% of my RTX 5080's GPU. Sometimes I wonder if it's better to let my recording programs use my integrated AMD GPU instead? Dual PC with laptop experiment eventually!

We also have separate iris mesh with eye socket that has a sclera cap that re-uses the eye socket texture. So many methods on eye mesh setups just like how face and body topology has many variants and no wrong answer which I'll get into my updated base mesh eventually.

I'd try to make sure the eye at other angles look like an "eyeball" as much as I can without sacrificing quality. Again to each their own especially for VTubing, MMD, and VRChat use. I prefer do the separate iris mesh with eye socket due to ease of control for VTuber clients.

Each eye mesh type has their pros and cons and it's a matter: -Face Structure -Overall Art Style+Texturing -Ease of Rigging (Ex. Blendshapes and Emote mesh) -Model Port Compatibility (Ex. MMD) -Overall Self-Preference There's no wrong answer as long as it works for you!

I use sphere eyes on my new model but that doesn't mean it's the "best method". We have multiple eye mesh methods like: -UV Eyes -Sphere Eyes -Separate Iris Mesh with Sclera Socket -Double Depth Iris Mesh -Sphere Eyes with Depth Mesh Cap -And more!

I plan to do more with the facial rig if I'm given time but for now I'll focus on improving my Unity+Warudo setup. At least the extra rigging I was able to do on my model helps with my Blender renders in terms of extra control.

Excuse the fan in the background, summer be burning. If you do Blender renders, you can utilize bone facial rigs or even mix with blendshapes, many combinations and it's a matter of what you personally prefer. Hate bone facial rigs? Just use blendshapes and that's okay.

Also LuppetX has VMC support so if your PC can handle it, you can even send the mocap to VNyan or Warudo and use both instead of debating which is "better". Dual PC users should have a much easier time.

I'm NOT bashing on Warudo or VNyan's tracking since they're great. I'm just saying I can see why Luppet users refuse to use other VTuber programs because Luppet right out of the box without any edits have decent tracking and the UI is easy to navigate (Didn't need tutorial).

For those wondering how LuppetX's tracking looks like. I can see why people really prefer this tracking since the tracking is smooth even with some fast movement. You can argue VNyan and Warudo can replicate it or it's not "Live2D bouncy" enough but that's self preference.
