Spent some time priming everything in Gold! My airbrush failed me recently, so back to spray primer (ColourForge Gauntlet Gold.) This is my 2,000pt Rubricae Phalanx 10th Ed TSons army! Can't wait to see them all fully painted (1 day!) #thousandsons #warhammer40K #wh40K #rubricmarines #minipainting

This paint was great! Bigger and cheaper than GWs paint, and sprayed very nicely and consistently. Looking forward to trying more of their stuff!

I used my respirator! There was a lot of paint fumes even with my ventilated paint booth!

My Wife's new book is out! I've got the ebook sideloaded onto my Kobo &have the Audiobook ready to go for my commute. Her publisher's site is actually a bit cheaper and she should get a bit more profits from there. Links in comments. #litrpg #silversidhe #thebrokenknife #booksky #ebook #audiobook

I pulled some of my old ebooks off the Kindle Touch & performed the Dark Magiks to get them onto and readable by the Clara. Was a bit more work than I was expecting, but I guess that's the price we pay for not being a Serf in the Empire! #kobo #clarabw #ebook #books #litrpg #ebooks #ereader #reading

This was timely for me, thank you! I'm trying to reduce screen time. I used to be a huge reader, but fell out of it. I recently replaced my old Kindle with a new Kobo Clara & have a couple massive TBR stacks to work thru. I'm still in the '2 pages & distracted' stage, but I'll get there!

Oh, and I love the fact that there is a STATS PAGE! I am such a sucker for stats...

Since Amazon kindly told me and my trusty Kindle Touch to F$*% Off, I decided to pull a little bit back from their ecosystem. I went with the #Kobo Clara BW. I like the end user repairability, and their eco friendliness. And, new-to-me is the whole Library Access! #booksky #library #ebook #ereader

I like how I can search for a book, and it gives me several ways to get it, including borrowing it from the library!!

The Backs. I really liked the Touch, back in the day it was the first touchscreen ereader, and it also did Text to Speech. Even though it was old school RoboSpeech, it was a very nice feature that Amazon killed shortly later when they acquired Audible.

With the Clara's backlight off, the screens are pretty similar (and they're the same size). But the Clara has a nice 'paperwhite' look when you bring up the back light, and it has the bluelight filter, which is very nice since I tend to read in bed. Also, the Clara is slightly smaller and extremely lightweight! (Not that the Touch was some massive brick.)

It has 4 maps. This is a training mission that only uses one map, & mostly ground vehicles. It leaves out all the air support, sams, politics, refugees, nuclear, biological, & chemical warfare stuff. Definitely one of the more complicated games in my collection. But it's a long holiday weeekend!

The Thousand Sons Warpcoven! Aspiring sorcerer in the middle, flanked by the Icon of Flame bearer carrying a inferno bolter, and the Heavy Gunner with his soulreaper cannon. Next to them are two Rubric Marines with Warpflamers.

Novitiates of the Sisters of Battle! They haven't seen the table yet. I'm curious to see how they do compared to my Old School original Sisters Team.

My 'classic' Sisters of Battle Team from the KT2018 days.

Tzaangors! They haven't seen the table yet, but will soon enough!

Ready for my first Real mission in the #ScouringSands campaign in #battletech #alphastrike. It's a bit Choose your own adventure, so I am starting with mission #02: Setting Down Roots. Landed out in the open, and am apparently establishing a forward operating base. #tabletopgame #wargame #miniature

The Jade Falcon OpFor for this mission: Couple Fulcrum Heavy Hovertanks, a Locust IIC and a Howler.

My light/scout lance for this sortie: Locust, Blackjack, Phoenix Hawk, Nova Prime. And spent some points to put a medium emplacement turret on one of my buildings, see how that works out. (and uh yeah, I left the Wraith mini in the shot instead of the Blackjack. And yeah, my merc company isn't in Table Ready Paint yet...)

Bad Timing right after the holidays & before people have gotten tax refunds/bonuses? My wife is an author, was doing the con circuit for a bit. We had one that was the week before Black Friday. Attendance in general was low & nobody was selling much. Figured it was people saving for BF. Which Con?

This first mission was a Guided Tutorial, so I won, of course! I really liked having it Guided. Very clear examples with everything spelled out on how to get the Modifiers, how and why to interpret the AI and Commander cards. Looking forward to learning that stuff and doing it myself!

Closer look at the mech in a 3/4 front view. I buggered up one of the yellow stripes, oops. I'm tempted to go get a light green spray to base the whole model in to avoid all those little 'bare' primer spots...
