This cat does not appear to weigh 19 pounds. My girl Moon weighs 14 pounds. Moon could easily sit on your cat. Get another weight from a vet who calibrates their scale, and congrats on the weight loss

She seems like a purrfect cat, especially with the chirps. And so kind of you to play along. Our Fig crackles… impossible to describe but he has a kind of cat xhosa going on… clicks that I’ve never heard other cats make and hard to capture. And I play along because I love him 😻

And felines. Gato cat healed me. Some Vets bond with dogs, but Gato was one on one… I’d wake up after a bad night to find him in my arms. He loved us all including his girlfriend Moon Pie. He was a warrior and undisputed bane of dogs. Fig is with us now. He is a lover and sleeps nightly with me 🐈‍⬛

And here’s another viewpoint… a guy who is good with cats may be a good kid dad, too. Kinda the same routine, you love em and hug em plus you feed them, clean barf off of furniture and sift the litter, plus play with them (= feel good taking the focus off of your needs and making theirs ⬆️ 😻❤️) 1

In the final days of my tenure in my job, before I retired, on the days where I had 8 hours of telephone conference calls, I would do the same and sleep. No one ever noticed or they were polite enuf to not bother. Now I spend entire mornings snoozing with Tillie and Fig and ❤️ the warmth and 2 cats

Sounds right 👍🏼 We live on a street where some drivers observe the 30 mph and the guys with big trucks mainly don’t. And we’ve got coyotes. We fenced our yard and the cats go out with supervision. They can do crazy stuff in our jungle.

Tillie is our sweet girl. She is so kind and loving 🥰

Fig cat is our nut. He climbed a tree and we had to get a mechanical lift with an arborist to get him down. He has an AirTag so we can find him 🤪

Moon Pie is semi feral and will wander (thus the tag) including outside the fence, as in this case. But she likes her comfort so she comes back for dinner.

If there is one thing I envy cats for, it’s the pedicure (paw-icure?) ability of carefully being able to clean their toes and nails one by one on their own and not look flustered doing it… even their hind toes!

Such a lovely and aptly named plant. This morning, my morning glory was visited by hummingbirds. I collect the easily collected seeds and scatter them thru my yard and they climb all over my coneflower and other plants. Such a blessing ❤️

Chinooks, the only way to fly. Flying in one is like getting into a 67 Mustang and really enjoying the smell, the creaky sounds, being real obvious in the air. Like flying in the bumblebee 🐝 version of a chopper. No way those boxcars can fly, but they do ❤️

A lovely article. It ought to add that you don’t need the resources or scale of Knepp to have an impact (altho I support the article and its message). You can start with your own backyard. We are doing this on a 1/3 acre lot in the middle of lawn deserts and changing the minds of the neighbors.

After I turn out the bedroom lights, I carefully and on purpose shuffle thru the room. It’s the only way to make sure I don’t tread on a black 🐈‍⬛ or grey cat. That’s my truth, hoping I can take care with the ones I love. It’s easier with Moon Pie because she is a black and white cowcat 😻
